I hope this continues for them, it should always be an option. 

I would've "attended"  so many more lectures when I was a student if I could've sat at home with a hangover and listen

There are lots of problems with lectures online. People can't properly learn this way. I know it's dumb but that's how our social brains work. At least reduce the tuitions if you're not providing the same resources and overall education quality...

As an option, yes. As mandatory, no.

Say that when you’re having people RIGHT NOW not practicing social distancing, not wearing masks, having protests about the quarantine, etc. We’re going to have a huge spike in coronavirus cases. The idiots right now are not making the situation better.

We could be doing much better right now, and then by summer 2021, things may have gotten better, but with the idiocy going on today by some people, expect this situation to only get worse.

Some people can’t learn properly with in-class lectures...

I agree about the lowering tuition thing, but I think online classes, for the most part, are fine.

Thank you. With how the Britain handled the crisis, I don't think I'll be comfortable just resuming my studies in September in a business as usual manner. 

Cambridge is saving themselves headache and money by committing to a full year online and being able to plan from there.

I'll probably cancel a year if my university decides to do so. Online classes are not productive at all. Both as a master's student and as a teacher, I despise them. I'd rather graduate a year late to be honest.

Yeah. Here summer classes are online, but we are resuming the fall 2020 semester as usual. I don’t think that’s a good thing, though. Like, here in the US, we are RE-OPENING the country when we still have the highest death rates of any other country. It’s ridiculous if you ask me. We also have a bunch of entitled morons here protesting the quarantine being like, “bUt I wAnT mY HaIrCuT!!!1” 

If people just had common sense and listened to the science, the situation wouldn’t be so bad.

My uni is still confident that they’ll have us in September  I just don’t see how this is possible?? I’m thinking January the earliest 

I’m very torn. I’m going into my first year at uni, but I’m also considering deferring my place because it’s gonna be so boring with social distancing and no clubs open + online courses. If I’m paying £9,250 I want it to be worth it.

Nowadays all lectures can be streamed online even before the covid mess so you could sit in bed and listen

the problem is for medicine, vet med students. They have loads of practical stuff. As a vet student myself I can say that online classes are a disaster!

Also, in my hometown one of the major universities (Sydney University) has cut 30% from funding in all arts and sciences
