The average length of the 13 songs is a few seconds shorter than SL, which I don’t find too short and wouldn’t have minded if the intro and/or outro was removed.  It’s supposed to be a dance pop record for 2020, I thought this is what people wanted after having 3 albums of ballads?

It is effectively 13 tracks with interludes removed. I still take it tbh. They probably just being more effective and removing parts that usually makes songs too long. Maybe long instrumental part and stuffs.

They know it counts they’re just being dramatic for the sake of it. Two things, one Gaga often throws ballads in that can take their space and time and 2 critics have always been on Gaga’s case for editing. Her most critically acclaimed album and the one people want her to go back to the most out of all the ones people are mentioning is the shortest one lmao

Well some will always complain about something.  If she had many songs on this album with 40 sec intros people would say it is needless and drags on.  I actually read people say FW drags on near the end, so let’s see their reaction when 30 secs have been removed from it on the album.

Going w the punk thing (i know i know, nothing about this music is punk BUT) punk music tends to have like 2 minute songs, and super short length albums! Since Chromatic aesthetics are punk ish maybe this is just part of that!
