Kevin Mayer was a key player at Disney before making the move to TikTok. According to a press release, the streaming chief oversaw the launch of ESPN+ and Disney+ along with the integration of Hulu. He also reportedly played a big role in Disney acquiring Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel and 21st Century Fox, huge deals that were instrumental in the company’s trajectory over the past decade.

Is it coincidental that both Russia and China both have released globally popular apps that are tracking users personal data and potentially spying?

That sounds like a bad decision, to be honest. Sure, Tik Tok is at its best moment right now, but who knows where it'll be in a couple of years. Gen z will probably move on to the next big app in no time, just like they did with Vine or Snapchat.
