I miss her old face...

Well, explain this then!

She's never looked more like her younger self than in A Star Is Born and afterwards. I keep seeing "I miss her old face" posts around the forum (maybe the thought also crossed my mind) but you have to realize her "old" 2008-2012 face was itself a result of many factors: stress, depression, overwork, and of course eating disorders. In my opinion she's lately been the healthiest she has in years and even if it doesn't look exactly like the Gaga we fell in love with years ago, it's okay. She's older now, and she looks like young Stefani more than ever, and she's happy and taking care of herself like never before. 

Yes, I do get nostalgic sometimes when I see 2011 pictures where she had that signature Gaga face that so many called ugly yet we found beauty in - but I also know she was deeply unhappy during that time, and she herself stated she didn't like the way she looked in that era. Many of us give her a lot of **** for Epione but maybe it's helped her in a way to regain the way she looked before her life turned upside down - and clearly she must have done something right because the resemblance is uncanny

she was a teenager in those older photos. people grow. they change. i don't know anyone who's face hasn't changed with age and growth, and in my opinion she's aged like fine wine and keeps looking better every time i see her.

but yeah I couldn't care less about what she does with her face, it's her choice

I think there are certain instances in time where her facial alterations are much more subtle and resemble her "old face", than others. This could be a factor of the work fading out (obviously before she goes to get them redone), or an intentional choice to do more subtle work in that round.

I think the face she did for ASIB's filming, coupled with her natural hair, did show a heavy reminiscence to her much older looks (sans the lip and cheekbone structure, but even then they weren't as dramatic as they sometimes could be).

well she's obviously gonna look more like "stefani" with brown hair and less makeup than in older eras where she was blonde.

The only thing I 'miss' in her new face is her teeth. Her new lips cover her upper teeth which were a very youthful and feminine feature before, and very signature 'Gaga'. She can have a big, cheekbones an extended chin and wider jaw if it makes her happy    but Gaga, let us see your teeth again lol. Also it will take another 5 years off her age as front tooth show is regarded as youthful!

for me ASIB was the peak of her fillers. big lips, sunked cheeks, triangular eyebrowls

actually gaga was seen going to epione right before she started filming the movie.

I guess I wouldn't say peak in the sense that she looked the most different, but there was definite visual differences. For me, it was the lips the most, and then the cheekbones next. I didn't notice the eyebrow arch that much until a little later after, actually!

I think a lot of combined factors, such as her natural look (minimal makeup, brown hair), her acting skills (especially regarding the motif of authenticity), and the fact that the facial alterations done within filming didn't really stiffen her expressions all that much (in my opinion, compared to maybe the work done during AHS5), really made it look way more natural to audiences.

I think people just thought this is what she looked like without big hair and big makeup!

Definitely. During her last Vogue cover and photoshoot, it really felt almost like her "old" face again, mostly because her front teeth were showing more prominently imo!
