What's your opinion?

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

Was it ever really relevant? It’s just a fun pop song but I feel like it’s not hip hop enough for the times :c

300 million views on YouTube is not relevant?

When it comes to Gaga, the success of a song depends on the promo more than the song itself, unless there's a miracle like Shallow

I mean it’s a good song and arguably one of her strongest leads. But the message is not relevant. Not many people live for the applause :laughga:

Roar has 3 billion views though from the same year

There's two different types of relevancy on YouTube. Videos that reach over a billion views, and there's videos that struggled to make under it.

I think it would do the same, its not a huge pop banger to go #1 imo

Absolutely. It's the perfect pop bop and we're craving this kind of bops this year :vegas:

It definitely would if Gaga still had that image of being an artsy showgirl but now she literally has no identity.

She's somewhere between Bebe Rexha and Dua Lipa.

That's what I'm missing from her an IMAGE.

But yes Applause is a SMASH that is super underrated and I wish she had performed it at the super bowl.

I feel many songs on ARTPOP could've blown up in 2020! Hell, I can even imagine G.U.Y. on the radio with it's smooth and laid-back chorus! Pure pop perfection for 2020! DWUW, JND, SD, and Venus would've been popular af! Applause has a sort of trap element to it that is enjoyable and many people actually like it! ARTPOP really does sound fresh after some time.

I'll WRECK U right Up...G.U.Y.!!!🌋💥

Exactly! Almost each song on it has something 'weird' and 'quirky' about it that it would just appeal to this generations pop music!
