Glamourpuss 29,062
I was born in '88 and used to listen to my mum's Sony Walkman from the 80's and all her casette tapes and none of them ever had a paper case. Was that really the norm back then?

Was that really the norm back then? Plastic cases were the norm for albums on cassette, however originally most cassette singles were released like this in a cardboard sleeve. With the release of maxi singles, they tended to follow the plastic case design of regular album cassettes Born This Way Ball - 20/6/12 | artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball - 30/8/14 | LA To The Moon Tour - 2/4/2018

Unless you get purple instead of pink. But that's the obvious. it low key was almost that stark of a color difference... i had to bleach it into submission. But you're right i totally learned my lesson.

What shade of pink is it? Is it lighter? What I liked about it was how vivid it was so I might not bother getting it now.

PatrickMonster 6,512
Yall should be grateful we got ANYTHING at this point. Yall quickly forgot how we didnt get anything for singles after Applause. We didnt get anything for DWUW, GUY, PI, MR, TC, Shallow.......... Yeah they wrongly advertised the cassette's case, but if you look at other Interscope artists latest cassette single releases, they were all in paper cases, so Im not surprised at all. Also if you hate the paper case for some shitty reason you can sell it on ebay for like 5 or 10 times the price you bought it in a year so can yall just stop the whining for a second and just be happy we got a CD, a vinyl and even a cassette release for a single? MingersPrayer 583
I remember hating when artists did a cardboard sleeve for a tape in the 90s because when I stacked all my tapes together those ones didn’t fit nicely with the others

I was born in 88 too and remember as a kid 90% of the cassettes has plastic cases but some were cardboard. For some reason I recall Natalie Imbruglia ‘Torn’ came in a paper case. It's because those aren't singles. Albums were in plastic cases and singles in paper.
