My interpretation for this round is that the victim finally hit back at the person who had been abusing them and killed them in self-defence. They are pleading to the jury to see that it was in self-defence and that the person they had killed has previously been found guilty of domestic violence ββPut your right hand on the book and you were found guiltyβ. The song could very well be interpreted as a man defending himself from past wrongdoings and defying those who are accusing him.
