In my quarantine time, I have been watching every single Lady Gaga interlude, vlog, performance, interview, behind the scenes clip, and commercial (Thank you GagaMediaArchives.) I have gotten to June 2011 and I knew that Gaga had made some pray for Japan bracelets in 2011, but I did not know that she was sued for apparently not donating 100% of the proceeds to charity even though she claimed she would.

I don't mean to spread negativity, and if you think this thread is too negative, I don't mind deleting (or requesting to delete this :poot:). I am just wondering what little monsters think of this because I have not heard of this before? It is a false rumor? Is there information I don't know? Is it just something we try to ignore? Curious on thoughts.

Also wondering if I should be posting some of my interesting finds from this Gaga video watching spree :oprah:

I don't know if this counts as "winning" or if this is even true but it's what I heard.

Settling basically means you agree that you're guilty, so you'll pay for it.

But, having said that, look at this:

"...because sales tax and shipping charges, which did not go to victims, were included in fundraising totals."

So, obviously she didn't keep the money for herself, she just neglected to say that all the profits (and not the proceeds) would go to the victims, that is, the money she would've kept for herself.

She was wrong, but not because she acted in bad faith, but because she worded the "promo" wrong.

so she basically just got sued for not donating taxes? :triggered:

If that article is correct she got sued for not donating taxes and the shipping fees.
