Staryu 6,162
Okay nevermind I like 8 songs from TNC (if I include Walk The Line to my list (it sounds similar to Work so I forgot about it )), so I do like more than half the album. I still feel disappointed by it.
FKAJAKE 5
work bounce fancy change your life **** love (next single) only 2 out of her 5 singles have pop hooks. and whats so bad about pop hooks? theyre catchy, and radio friendly. so it seems pretty smart for them to be singles... are you going to bash eminem next? other rappers who include pop hooks? or is your hate only exlusive to iggy? 2 out of 5? 'now get dis work work work work workin on ma ****' that's a popish hook 'imam change ur life imma change it .....' popish hook 'im so fancy u already know' soooooo pop 'shake it break it make it bounce' then the beat thing, it's the same as all other dance music in the charts also what's the 5th single? " my point is that they're only used on the singles, like the only songs I can bear to listen to are the singles, **** love and black widow, because they use pop hooks. you said only 2 use them, as if saying iggy is some rap god, when in reality she can only sell by making her songs into dance pop music lightly influenced by rap. the songs that don't use pop hooks and are obviously never going to be singles are just boring, because iggy is not good at rap which is what she is trying to do. The reason her album is bad is not because she uses pop hooks, but because she just doesn't produce strong enough rap music. I love trapgold, but this album is so forgettable. Hexxx 2,244
the problem with nicki is that she started off as pure rap then one day she went bubblegum pop. I expect BWET to be a game changer like she said Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko

Hedi 3
the problem with nicki is that she started off as pure rap then one day she went bubblegum pop. I expect BWET to be a game changer like she said I really feel like there is a bias towards things like this though... as if - and i've watched an interview of her talking about this - because she's a black rapper she should stay in one lane. She was inspired by legendary female rappers growing up but noone ever considers that she is also inspired by Cyndi Lauper and Paula Abdul - who's she's talked about as influences/ what she listened to growing up - and as if changing her stylistic lane is 'sell out' or a betrayal to the rap community; of which is more amplified because she's been such a purveyor of being a succesful female in rap.. and people feel cheated and angry or something by her leaving it. Basically she's said never put herself in a box, which I think is important, and that no one should do. That being said.. she has said she felt like she's been there and done that - regarding 'pop' and that she doesn't feel she has to do it again. Hedi 3
omg i didn't get a notification for this! yes i love it and her in studio visit. not crazy alice but it reminded me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdnZw6yKlRg When Artie is using other names for Alice like "insanely f*cked up Alice" because she's offended by 'crazy' is my other fav Alice moment And When they don't/barely play the crow sound effect when MaryAnne calls in though
Hexxx 2,244
Well I'm an x-stan and I left her a LONG time before she said that. funny thing is, I still don't care. Ain't nobody trying to put her in a box She should list Gaga as her BIGGEST inspiration Maybe Azealia going to Santera has something to do with the release of the music Reaching I think Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Hedi 3
Regarding Iggy's TNC... Overall the production wasn't for me. Let's leave it at that.
