That's just unnecessary and rude:neyde:

And gurl, most of us are gay. We do wash our asses:billie:

It's kind of a running joke in our country/region, because Muslims use douches all the time and  (most) Christians don't because it's #Muslim culture. You'd be surprised at how many gheys dont wash :selena:

I've heard it before but it's still not fun to be called nasty. Like it's not my fault that I'm born and raised in a culture where we use toilet paper and don't douche all the time:bradley:

Also I seriously hope that the gays who don't wash are tops:poot:

r u joking? in iran showing your hair is punishable by death lmao

No offense but you said something along the lines of "all countries." Yet you listed one. To help you out I'll list Saudi Arabia too.

But you also completely ignore the fact that in Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Malayasia, Bahrain, and Sudan women can choose to not wear their hijabs or whatever if they don't want to.

So that's 2 countries in favor of your argument, and like a dozen that contradict your statement. Which is it, hoe?

Edit: All I care about is letting women do (within reason) and wear whatever the **** they want.

just bc a white rich woman said “wear burqa for fashion” doesn’t erase its history of ongoing violence and oppression towards woman in islam

Sorry, maybe I’m not as historically enlightened at Islamic history as you are. But I have multiple Muslim friends (we live in America) and they wear their hijab in public and they’re all very outspoken and have never talked poorly of their hijab to me. One of them I follow on Snapchat and she’s extremely vocal about women’s rights and female empowerment. So while I’m sure some women are forced into wearing it and being Muslim, there are obviously some who are happy with their religion.

This is the only example I could think of, but we all know there were and still are gays who have been forced by their families into conversion camps to be straight, just like there are people who are forced into religion. But some people are actually straight, just as there are people who are religious. I don’t see you vocal about how people should stop being straight because many civilizations have oppressed gays into being straight (on the outside). This is one of the only times I agree with @Morphine Prince, I 100% believe that choice is freedom in this instance. Just because there are people being forced into religion in other places doesn’t mean we should treat Islam as an evil and punishable by government. Hopefully you understand what I mean.

Also laughing at the republican sympathizers and trump supporters in this thread caring about women’s choice all of a sudden :billie:

list of countries that haven’t banned the niqab:

US, Canada (except Quebec), Spain, UK, Germany (yet), Switzerland, Iceland, Sweden, Austria, Romania, Hungary, Bosnia, Croatia, etc etc.

so only france has banned niqab and you’re acting like the entire western world is “oppressing islam”

This is not a political issue, this is a global health issue. Let's not drag the ethics of burqas, niqabs and hijabs into a health matter that affects us all. Not wearing a mask, puts yourself and others at risk. Wearing or not wearing a veil for religious beliefs is something that should not be compared with something that truly could keep you safe from a terrible disease /end thread

I'm assuming you quoted the wrong person because where the f*ck did I say the western world is oppressing islam? Also, I'm agnostic and a pro-secularist. Like I mentioned, all I care about is letting women do and wear whatever they want. I hate how controlling either society (religious or otherwise) is on women. Just let them be ffs.

If a woman wants to wear a hijab, then let her (a hijab is different than a niqab btw. Niqab covers the entire face and it's understandable to ask women to remove it in certain situations). If she DOESN'T want to wear it then also let her. Just stfu and leave women alone.
