Katy's "Daisies" - Peak?

  1. 1. Will it top the Hot 100? Linger in the Top 40? Or top the Bubbling Under?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it get little promotion? It wasn't meant to do numbers, it was just a cute way to announce her pregnancy. By default, she'll top that.

To be fair, NWW was just a cute announcement for her pregnancy, it was never pushed to receive commercial success on top of being released on a Wednesday.

With Daisies it looks like they have a plan so I'm very interested to see what happens :vegas:

OT: Imma say Top 20

Ugh cut the crap, her being pregnant was the promo

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Yeah no, you need more than that to chart. Especially for a song that never got sent to radios and was released on a weekday

#11-#15.

Considering that NRO only peaked at #15 despite it essentially having the capacity to be the lead single last year seeing as she never said what it was, I'm not predicting much higher. #15 is the highest peak she's had since 2017's CTTR at #3. That doesn't bode well for a comeback. Her recent spate of stand-alone singles were only last year up until the present day and they never touched any of her previous success, so there's no reason why this should be any different. But the charts are so weird right now, I guess anything could happen.

CTTR peaked at #4 by the way

Her team said its not about the charts this era so to me this is more a 'Joanne' clean up 'I'm a HAC artists with talent' era

I'm gonna say probably a top 20 debut, a fall into the 40s,and then some stability.

Honestly though, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if it did over 10 weeks overall on the chart. (what SL will do once album is released)

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

c'mon it should've at least entered the hot 100... maybe not top 40 or anything but it says a lot about her star power if it can't even chart

#11-15.. I really don’t think this is going to be much different than the NRO rollout. They’ll pump money into promo for the song, it’ll do decently well and then it’ll fade. It’s unfortunate, but her “new” management is going to have a tough time undoing the past 5 years of decline

It all depends on the quality of the song, which we haven't heard yet. If it's really good it might climb its way up into the lower half of the top 10, but I don't see it going higher than 5 given how promo will be limited thanks to Mrs Rona, and there will most likely not be a proper music video either.

It will be a success, especially on radio, so there's no doubt it will go Top 20. I think her promotion on American Idol will also boost it, but imo the Top 10 is largely locked in right now (Drake, Megan, Doja, Dua)

Fans really need to stop making excuses for Never Worn White's failure. Can you imagine if Gaga, Taylor, Beyonce, Ariana, Rihanna or any other big pop girl announced her pregnancy in a music video? It wouldn't matter if it was just a stand-alone single, buzz single or cute little treat for fans. It would either shoot straight to #1 depending on who it was in particular or at the very least debut in the top 20. For Katy to not even CHART with such an obvious publicity move is proof that interest in her is at an all-time low. There were many articles written about her pregnancy but people stopped talking about it after literally 2 days. The video's been up for over 2 months now and in that time has garnered 28.6 million views and 1.3 million likes. Videos from major stars get those stats and better in the first couple of days of release and they actually chart. Katy has over 37 million YouTube subscribers, nearly as many as Taylor and Ariana and they pull in much better views, likes and sales than her so she has no excuse for such poor single performance.

This sounds like a bash against Katy but it really isn't. I'm just putting down facts and realism.
