Festivals are meant to be gatherings of groups or communities within a certain area sharing the same values/ideas/perspectives on a certain topic such religion, music, culture, etc. Having something where people are meant to be participating in person is the point if that's not happening you can postpone it. Nobody's going to die from it not happening. So in a way doing it "digitally" adds nothing to the experience. Of course if people want to get drunk or thirsty watching the gheys in their computers at home watching this is totally up to them but the guy you're replying to has also a very valid point. But in honesty it will never be at par as the real thing.
