I blame little monsters for hyping up the leaks, encouraging Gaga/Interscope to realease it as the lead I think it did well enough. Lets be thankful for the top 5 peak and move on. However, it was a Top 5, spent many weeks (not enough, I know) in the Top 40, and I'm sure that it will re-enter the chart post- album release. I know that Stupid Love was essentially created to be a digestible, accessible "pop" banger, but I think it's fair to say that its chart success was almost solely reliant on its pre-release hype.
