I honestly can't believe this show went on as long as it did. Season 1 was so good, but season 2 was boring af, and they added a bunch of fluff in the story line for no reason and I felt like the entire season just dragged on. I still believe they should have just made a two part special, tied up any loose ends they left in season one, and called it a day. There was legit no other reason to continue this story besides money.

Like others have said, so many great Netflix shows on here that got the chop too early, yet we got 4 seasons of 13RW :awkney:.

I binged the **** out of it. Decent season. Kinda brought me back to high school a bit which was fun. Crazy after so many years I feel like I can still relate to high school kids, well that being said they are doing very much adult things and look like adults as well lol :cryga:

I agree that Season 2 wasn't great but I really really liked Seasons 3 and 4 and idk, I'm gonna miss it. 4 seasons was the perfect length and I actually enjoyed almost all of the storylines.

And they got 4 seasons cuz many people watch the show.

This video sums up SOME of the problems this season has. The fact that some people liked it is mind blowing to me.

Alex and Charlie are the only good things about this season. I felt it was unnecessary forced and it felt like it shouldn’t exist. Literally the only reason I kept watching is the Alex/Charlie storyline. I see many people liking it but I really didn’t.. :poot:

Season 1 is the only season worth watching and they should have left it there honestly.. Maybe add 2-3 episodes just to have a closure and that’s it..

What. The. ****. Was. That?!

OMG this was seriously the worst ****ing **** I've ever watched in my entire life. I thought after season 3 it couldn't get any worse, but season 4 was literally the worst thing I've seen!

I don't even know where to begin! I'm at a loss for words at this moment. Nothing makes sense whatsoever. At one point I didn't even know what I was watching anymore. It was just an incoherent collection of scenes that involved the same characters. SO ****ing incoherent.

I get that it's a TV show, but the characters are so irrational to the point that it's not entertaining anymore. What they did to Clay was just bad. I get that the overarching theme of this season was supposed to be mental health and anxiety, but what they did to Clay goes FAR beyond anxiety attacks, he is freaking schizophrenic and at times even seems insane but NOBODY seems to care. Like, he just goes to school like every other day, no questions asked. This kid needs help!! This is not a helpful depiction of mental health issues.

In general, so many things are going on in this season and in the next scene nobody cares anymore. Like that prank that they pulled on Clay. Like,WHO even does that?! Clay and Zach literally have a terrible car crash and Clay apparently "left Zach to die" and no one talks about it. There was absolutely NO reason for the riot! You can make racial injustice an issue of the show, it's an important issue to talk about, but do it in a believable way, do it in a logical way. Like, 2 students are fighting and they pick the coloured one by saying "yeah it was the ****ing mexican kid". Like, I know this is America, but come on! That's just lazy writing. The students could have just walked out and protest in front of the school. There was absolutely no reason for them to call a ****ing SWAT team and start blowing up cars. Or when they were at the camping thing and suddenly the show turns into a horror movie for no reason and they use the wrong clues and are locked up in a cabin in the woods and stalked by an axe murderer... like even writing this I feel like a 3-year old produced the show. Anyway, that happened and nobody ever cared about that again. Or when Clay randomly decides to shoot up the police station even though he doesn't have a gun... he doesn't get any consequences, in fact he can go to ****ing Brown University. Even though he tried to shoot up everyone just two episodes prior.

And the list just goes on and on and on with things that don't make sense! But my absolute least favourite moment was the "school shooting". It's just fhkjwqfhkj.dshfiewdhfo this whole moment was such a MESS, OMG! It seems like that's what they actually wanted to do in Season 2 but didn't have the guts to do, because of the backlash and now they're like, **** it it doesn't make any sense so let's just do it! Girl, you can't just throw a ****ing school shooting (even though it ended up being a drill) into a show and spend an entire episode on what people are doing and thinking during it as a mere plot device for another mere plot device that they only talk about in 2 scenes of the show. It would have made sense in season 2 because there were 2 entire seasons building up to a school shooting and this just randomly came out of nowhere and didn't take the story anywhere. And I'm sorry, but a school shooting doesn't last an hour and that is NOT how people act when there's an active shooter in your school. Like who decides to start a fight over freaking Jessica, takes drugs or goes through other people's stuff.

It's just such a mess, I can't even comprehend how anyone would want to work on that stupid show! And what the hell was the deal with Winston?! Why is he so obsessed with Bryce and Monty? He didn't know Bryce and he only ****ed Monty once?! You didn't LOVE him! And you didn't LOVE Alex just because you kissed him once. The whole purpose of this character was to have another villain and a reason for the group to keep on covering up their secrets, but it just didn't make any sense at all.

And I mean I love the representation of gay people on the show, but come on?! NOBODY knew that the principle was gay and in a marriage with the coach?! I am a teacher and I have worked in 5 different schools, all the students know EVERYTHING when it comes to teachers dating. And the principle was portrayed as such an asshole and as soon as they showed that he is actually gay, he became nice?! What IS this?!

And Alex... gurl... we've been known. We didn't need an entire season of you coming out. That actor was badly cast to begin with.

And another problem is that in every episode there is at least 1 HUGE build up to something terrible happening, but then nothing happens. Like the shooting, Clay being the shooter, Zach beating up the police, etc etc etc. It's cute when you do that every now and then to keep up the suspense, but OMG it felt like in every episode someone was going to die and then it just turned out to be an illusion or whatever.

Also, does nobody notice that Jess and Clay talk to dead people? Does no one want to address that?!

Justin dying had absolutely no reason. The writers just needed someone to die so there is a sad ending and we can all sob at home, but it was just SO not affecting, because first of all, Justin dying is not really surprising! And there was no build up to that. They just randomly decided "Ok, Justin had Aids now and dies" at a point of the show where no one cared anymore.

And that thing with the parents stalking their children?! WHAT. THE. ****?! WHO does that?! What kind of parent would lie to their children and then secretly go to a parent meeting and talk about all the text messages and emails that their children write? Maybe that happens every now and then but an ENTIRE COMMUNITY?! And such a big thing is only mentioned ONCE in the show?! Give me a ****ing break!

The dialogues are so ****ing cringey too! The writers seem to think they're Shakespeare or something, because of how they push the dramatics with the music in the background and what not, but do you even listen to what your characters are saying?

And in the end everyone gets to go to ****ing high class colleges?! Even Toni, Clay and Justin who never went to school who are addicts, criminals, and mental wrecks? Is it THAT easy to go to college in the US?

I'm just mad, because this show literally felt like a 3-year old wrote it and it's sad, because I'm a fan. Season 1 was one of my favourite shows ever and it SUCKS what they did to it.

It's literally so bad, I could go on and on with things that are wrong about it and the fact that I read comments on here of people enjoying it so much just really baffles me.

Truth. I can’t believe everything Clay did in every episode and nothing happened. I feel like they wanted to end every episode with a shocking cliffhanger then move on to the next episode and be like lol jk nothing happens.

Well this sucked horribly. I’m glad it’s over, but honestly the final plot twist has me furious. They had a chance to show that HIV is not a death sentence... and they did the complete opposite. I’m livid they chose this ending for Justin.

This :tony: I can't believe in the middle of 2020 there is a tv character that dies from HIV/AIDS :rip: They had the chance to put that stigma aside and make Justin live a normal life on medication, like people living with HIV today. Also this virus becomes lethal like 10 years after you get it, when Justin got it, when he was 7? :oprah:please :saladga:
