Britney Jean1 839
Although many of you agree that these two albums differ heavily from each other particularily in sense of music style, however, they share significant similarities if you pay a closer attention. Both album debuted at #1 Witness sold 180K in its opening week while Joanne 208K in the US both albums produced a top #4 single Chained to the Rythme and Million Reasons. Both artists described their work as experimental pop record, authentic music and personal. Joanne is an album that portray Gaga as her Mother and father's daughter, similar to witness 'Yeah, I am my mother's daughter' katy says on Power.mp3. Moreover, both albums created controversy and received love-hate reactions from the fans. While some little monsters had a meltdown for the new root that gaga has taken with Joanne while they were expecting the record to be a dance pop record, other Catycats didn't appriciate Witness effort, believeing it to be overhyped and a letdown. So if you can pick your favourite between the two which one would you go for? PS: This is not competition or something Katy and Gaga are both great talented artists each of them is good in her own way, hence try to answer without downplaying neither of these records. Yxilon 5,248
Witness is Katy's best album but y'all not ready for this conversation Everything could be everything (it could mean anything)
Pennywise 36,079
Witness is just... yeah I'd rather have not witnessed that at all Joanne has some fillers but is still a solid album, though not very cohesive. So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.
ChromaticRaccoon 1,761
I love both of them. But witness really means a lot to me so my vote defiantly goes to Katy
littlepotter 75,151
Witness is not bad, but its lows are LOW. Whilst Joanne has Perfect Illusion, which is Gaga's second best song. chaeri pls
Creyk 17,850
Witness: 3 bad songs Joanne: 3 good songs
Skylight 911
I think Witness tried so hard to be something it isn’t. But still, Witness because of the serious bops (Roulette, Witness, etc.)
Sneaky Oliver 22,226
I appreciate both of them. Witness the track is another level amazing. I gotta say that. I think Witness features more diverse lyrical content (while many find the lyrics odd) but Joanne features a raw instrumentation that’s amazing by itself... I think Witness reflects more on the doubts and crisis of being human and especially a woman which many can relate to, and Katy has such a skill to write relatable songs, while Joanne is more focused on Gaga’s own life and relationships and I think that’s why some tracks don’t shine enough for the fans
LoLaA 2,359
I like Joanne, but it's not my fave album by Gaga. Witness... yep, what can I say? Always be kind to others, you may need them once

Delusional 9,221
How did Katy manage to choose such tragic singles. Witness was filled with some beautiful tracks and CTTR was a perfect lead - then swish swish and Bon appetit came let’s not talk about Hey Hey Hey though ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️BANNED TILL SEPTEMBER‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Butters Stotch 5,364
Witness was uninspired, in my opinion... more uninspired than usual for a Katy album Joanne on the other hand, it's not Gaga's best, but lyrics are deeper and the inspiration behind it was clear and lovely, so I go with Joanne. Red Velvet 10,988
Just now, GGVS said: Witness was uninspired, in my opinion... more uninspired than usual for a Katy album I am so sorry if this will offend you, but I do not think it was uninspired. The songs were of her experiences as an adult, growing up, being hated and on her lows just disguised in the face of upbeat pop songs. I'm like some kind of supernova
Twitter 14
Joanne, but we aren’t going to disrespect Witness like that.
