Poll: Worst Pre-Era

Decision making. Will the lack of information versus the constant hype of the album as the best of this Millenium be put into thought?

Will you also think about the longest time they’ve each run before their release, or does your life situation at those times had more to do with how you feel during these pre-eras?

We had Applause, music video next week, Swine Fest, artRAVE party, so yeah, my vote goes to Chromatica.

ARTPOP pre-era was GRUELLING. yes, both projects were delayed etc, but with chromatica we’re all in the pandemic together. ARTPOP’s pre era had her hip injury and no one knew if she could ever even preform again. it was scary and i felt so so so bad for her. not to mention we’d been teased for so long about things that would never see the light of day, where chromatica’s been pretty secretive and we know for sure whats coming

I have no doubt that Chromatica will be an excellent album, I'm super excited for it but there's no competition here. ARTPOP had tons of promotion and exciting visuals and fashion and high-profile interviews and performances.

But this is in no way Gaga's fault. Chromatica would've been Born This Way's sister in terms of promotion. It's Covid-19's fault. Thankfully some members who have access to insider info said that this era won't be as short-lived as we thought id' be.

ARTPOP. It had a better/more exciting/fun roll out, but the "downsides" (the R. Kelly aspect that played out mostly before the album was released), make it worse imo.

Whatever issues little mangers may have with the Chromatica roll out, at the end of the day a lot of it is out of anyone's control due to the Rona. There's even been articles about how the Rona has caused delays and general confusion for movie & music releases. At least there's been two magazine covers and some cool visuals/merch, and hopefully there will be some live performances.

ARTPOP pre-era was fun in many ways, but was also so messy and full of some real cringe moments. The "millenium" thing was bad—although to be fair if a male artist had said that he would have received far less blowback. Give me Gaga's current "healing crystals/Marianne Williamson/quasi Grimes" thing she does now over the ARTPOP persona. Also, the R. Kelly thing—most of which occurred before the album dropped–....enough said.

Well, for us fans, obviously Chromatica, the wait has been stressing (to a point where it started to not be funny, nor enjoyable) and we had no information about anything, at least during the ARTPOP era Gaga gave us lots of information. Now, for Gaga, definitely pre-ARTPOP times were worse, she went through a lot of **** during that time, which made ARTPOP era kinda disappointing, I was always left with this feeling that she couldn't do all the things she planned because of her mental state and everything happening around her, she really tried her best to fulfill the expectation she built, but sadly I never felt she did it. ARTPOP era really was disastrous for her career, even though she has the best intentions and was inspired af, people didn't get her, from the beginning things started to go wrong.

I'm glad she got to recover from everything, and somehow this made her the artist she is today, so I guess she had to take the best out of it.

I was here during it it honestly, this was more pressure.

At least we had something before the release, but after the cancelation or lord that was mess.

For.this era tho, all the leaks, all the delays, all the quietness. It was just too much. With ARTPOP we kinda understood why.

Thiiis!!! This is exactly what I mean, with ARTPOP you could understand everything. With Chromatica we had no idea about anything that was happening.

The ARTPOP pre-era was really great after she started appearing again, it was during the middle of the era that things got bad.

Meanwhile Chromatica has had to deal with the leaks AND the world shutting down, so my vote goes to her, poor thing.

if we're being real we'll never really know or be able to compare because the actual rollout for Chromatica was planned but was thrown off by an event out of their control whereas ARTPOP had a full rollout.
