The Fame is better than ARTPOP

I love the fame , the singles are iconic but it has soo many fillers , most people only know the hits from that album, i live for the first half and then we get to the fillers/songs that aged like milk 

ARTPOP is more diverse and I think it shows better who gaga is as an artist ( not just some poppy sexy skinny legend the way the fame does )

if we talk about ARTPOP vs TFM that’s a different  story though

I'm not here to drag ARTPOP but I believe most people rank The Fame as their least favorite album due to how old it is. I almost NEVER listen to The Fame (not even singles) and whenever I hear it again I'm reminded of how good it is

ARTPOP has a special place in my heart. i'll always love the fame but i kinda love how much of a "mess" AP turned out to be honestly.

LET'S TALK. I love ARTPOP but tbh The Fame feels FARRRR more cohesive in vibe and lyrical/artistic direction as opposed to ARTPOP as far as a full album goes. Like the songs on ARTPOP are good but I don't think it flows as much as The Fame

Sure I like some songs from ARTPOP, but as an album, it's a mess. The Fame also has some of her best songs in her discography. 

The Fame has a very consistent synth pop sound from start to finish. It's a concept album that knows what it is without trying to be anything other than a fun pop album. It's got a better ballad, better collaborations, it has a retro 80s sound that still sounds modern and fresh today. Her hooks and verses are much more quotable, the lyrics had more impact, the dance pop sound was innovative at the time when her singles became hits. 

ARTPOP, doesn't really know what it is or what it wants to be. There are too many edm genres in it, it sounds very inconsistent sonically. It's very loud, like the beats are over produced, she's yelling so loud. Maybe that was her intention but it's very unpleasant listening to it on headphones. Not to mention her edm project already sounded dated by the time it was released. The tracklist is too long and would've benefited from being an 8 track EP ala The Fame Monster.

The songs I do like on ARTPOP though are Do What You Want and Gypsy. Venus was an interesting experiment but it is catchy and Applause was a bop. It's got some songs I individually like, but as an album from start to finish, The Fame is better and has better songs. 

Some amazing points but the art of ARTPOP is that it perfectly reflects her anger, emotion and sadness at the time. Conveys the utter rebellion. And it's still my favourite Gaga album. 
 

Nothing really sounded like ARTPOP at the time, especially for a female. It'll go down in history for that in retrospective reviews, bookmark me
