Golden girls remains one of the most popular and acclaimed sitcoms of all time, especially among the LGBT community. Each character is so unique and different, but which is your fav? Not necessarily the one you identify with the most but which one has that special soft spot for you?

1. Dorothy: she has the best wit and dry sarcasm; she’s intellectual, progressive, and relatable.

2. Blanche: an iconic slut, Blanche also has a great humor and sharpness.

3. Sophia: sassy and wise. A queen. But sometimes her old world views make her problematic.

4. Rose: also a queen but her st. Olaf stories get pretty old.

I love how Dorothy is written/she makes me laugh the most, but it's a toss up between her and Blanche. I love them all, one of the few shows where it's impossible to dislike any of them.

I adore all of them, but I voted Rose because Betty White really made the character, and I have a soft spot for Rose's naiveté. I probably relate the most to Dorothy, but I love Blanche's and Sophia's sassiness. They all rock!

Fun fact: when I was a little girl, I attended the live taping of the Golden Girls finale (I remember Leslie Nielsen was the guest star). My sister was living in L.A. and was in the acting biz at the time, and my mom and I had flown out to visit her, and she got us tickets. It was so much fun!

I actually made a lengthy post about my Grandma and The Golden Girls last night on my FB

I love that this show connected a lot of grandparents and their grandchildren, and to me, it feels like a gift my Grandma gave me. Even though she is gone, I can still think of her whenever I watch the show, and like she's there with me laughing. I don't know if it'd feel as special to me if it wasn't her that got me into it as a kid.

It is such a good show to put on and just feel good about. That and Parks & Rec are the two that can do that for me anytime, anywhere.

I think it changes for each episode, which is just a testament to great tv making. But more often it’s Dorothy I think

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Dorothy’s wit and Bea’s delivery and facial expressions were AMAZING. She’ll always be my favourite but Rose, Blanche and Sophia are just as funny and portrayed well.
I hope I live into my 80s to become a Sophia for my family and be able to get away with things I can’t right now.

Such an iconic show
