I think it depends on if the deluxe tracks are getting a digital release. From what we've seen that doesn't seem to be the case :interestinga:

but if the album leaks/when the CDs ship someone will rip the audio and throw them up on YouTube or Dbree or something

 Will do that myself :spin:

I understand this. But also at the same time JP exclusive tracks are super easy to find in super HQ. Plus since they're album exclusive bonuses it's not like you'd be able to buy it separately anyway. It's the same for all the bonus tracks everywhere for Chromatica. You won't be able to buy Love Me Right, 1000 Doves work tape or the Stupid Love remix unless you buy a whole album - so what's one more song potentially with the same restriction? It's still potentially new music, prefer having it and having to download it or use YouTube than not having access to it at all.

Pink did this with her last two albums, exclusive songs for Japan. White Rabbit on Beautiful Trauma and More on Hurts 2B Human.

It kinda sucks that you can’t stream the song or buy it digitally worldwide, but it’s nice to have an extra track. It’s conflicting!

OMG I didn't know this!! Ugh it's frustrating as fans we sometimes have no idea if artists have released exclusive songs. I didn't know about Halsey's either ahhhh:laughga:

The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

This is just normal stuff for Japan releases. They always give incentives to the costumers in forms of bonuses, deluxe packaging, extra tracks, and even DVD.

Prices for audio/video stuffs is not cheap in Japan. So giving out extras will usually motivates fans more to purchase the releases of their favourite artists.

Consider yourself lucky that Gaga did only Deluxe and Standard only for Japan releases, instead of Type A - Type B - Type C stuffs with each have different bonus tracks, different  covers, or other tidbits, or live only releases, that can only be obtained in person, in certain venues where the artists performed in, that the local Japanese artists usually do.  Cos that will be even more complicated, and pricey, if you are not used to it.

Just talking from personal  experiences chasing all releases types from my favourite Japanese pop and visual kei bands releases.
