I just miss when the focus wasn’t on the drama because that added to the younger fanbase makes the experience much less enjoyable tbh. (Although people who’ve seen the final edit say who it is). But slightly off topic; I’ve been rewatching All Stars 4 again whilst watching this season and I’ve noticed after paying close attention; I think it was ALWAYS the intention to have a double crowning regardless of how the show went. The hints were all there; in just the first episode Ru says there may be a twist... or two and he emphasised 2, then Latrila came back as a duo, then there was a double save later, and then keeping the top 2 All Stars format. Not to mention they had enough budget for a 200k grand prize. i think production wanted Latrila to be the top 2 of the season but when the plan went off course because of Latrice underperforming and Manila getting eliminated by Naomi they got rid of that idea; but then in post production they decided to redo the idea; but they didn’t have a double crowning saved, so they used what was apparently the audio from the confirmed double win they recorded for AS3, hence the winner winner two chicken dinners reference, because of Trixie’s snatch game. Gurl track records haven’t mattered since S1 when Bebe won over Nina. If the leak is correct, then whoever won deserved it. She killed the season and apparently did very well on the finale. Which is what matters now, slaying the finale. Don’t be bitter bc your fave apparently won’t win. Jaida’s win was ok although suspect tbh but I think they were originally gonna have Sherry as their front runner before the season aired and the mess happened, but this one is entirely suspect to me and the editing over the last 3 episodes around her using her loss last time around as a sob story and being entitled as if she would’ve won her last season anyway when the clear winner was ******* in her season not her, I’m not entirely bitter tbh, I can see why she won but i don’t see the point of a competition when everything just gets thrown out last minute. As for what you say about earlier seasons yes there was TONS of drama, but it was mostly not on the main show and when it happened either on the main show or in untucked it wasn’t shoehorned in like it has been since the VH1 takeover after S8. The editing tryna make everything seem shady and dramatic is on overkill every season now. Like I got they make overly dramatic shows like Love & Hip-Hop etc but come on, you can’t tell me Drag Race hasn’t become messy and predictable since the move. Like this season’s editing has been a mess tryna shoehorn Cracker as a villain, Shea as a victim and “robbed” winner of her original season and tryna make Blair look delusional as if they all don’t think about themselves as Blair does etc. Like literally the last three episodes have been Shea whining about losing to Sasha as if that’s dramatic or anything of a big deal💀 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
