They're winners don't represent current popular music. I agree. And while we're on this topic, Gaga isn't winning with Chromatica either. It's dance music, that relies more on samples and beats. The voters will not consider that "real music". In 30 years when all those older musicians who grew up with safe/traditional music die and are replaced with mondern younger voters, then we will see more progressive winners. It's already started with Childish Gambino winning with something I never thought possible.

Practically all non-white artists that have won a Grammy are US centered.  Asian, African, Latin American artists are snubbed by these awards that are supposed to be the biggest prize for music in the world. True. They made a Latin Grammyâs award for Latin American artists, which is probably why those artists wonât be seen on the actual main Grammyâs show. OT: I think the Grammys voting committee is out of touch and they have  more traditional preferences for what kind of music gets each of the awards. I donât think itâs racism, but it doesnât âfitâ the mold of what the Grammyâs are trying to present as the best song/album/artist that year.

We can have a conversation with real arguments or if you have none you can call your twitter girls to gang up on me Here comes the Twitter remark you made. Just because you mostly see fans in Twitter, DOES NOT mean you can generalize all of us BLINKs as that particular group.  K-Pop is Korean pop music, which is from an Asian country. They may not be all Asian artists, but they are Asian artists.  Oh, and here's the manufacture remark. You are not one who is seeing all the creative control of the artists. K-Pop artists do make their music, do their concepts and perform. If you do not believe me, let's first look at the tons of receipts I am about to pull out. Let's start with Spit It Out by MAMAMOO's Solar. Songwriter(s): Solar ⢠Kim-Do Hoon Producer(s) : Kim-Do Hoon ⢠Kim Sung-won https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spit_It_Out_(Solar_song)  Let's start next with Feel Special by TWICE, and not the song, the whole album. Track 2: Rainbow, lyrics solely written by Nayeon, a member of the group Track 3: Get Loud, lyrics written by JQ and Jihyo Track 4: Trick It, lyrics written by JQ and Dahyun Track 5: Love Foolish, lyrics written by Momo and Shim Eun-Ji Track 6: 21:29, lyrics written by all members https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feel_Special  And to end things up, because I am tired of pulling receipts to broaden the horizons of your very stuck up mindset, here is Map of the Soul: 7 by BTS. All members have atleast wrote and contributed to one song. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Map_of_the_Soul:_7 BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA

Although i agree that they should be some form of equal repesentation of races and sexes, award shows are not an avenue for promoting societal equality. Its an avenue for awarding deserving artist based on the academy's vote With the grammys, The artist are awarded purely based on the merit of the academy , no one knows what every individual member of the acadmys rationale was for voting for an artist. Although i agree they should definitely be equal representation at the end of the day Its an award show. 5 women dont have to win just because 5 men won . And 5 black people dont have to win just because 5 white people won . At the end of the day this issue has been over-flogged and trashed too many times and i believe some improvement have been made over the years.

That's okay to happen, if in a certain year 70% of the awards were given to white men for example, this would be okay, kind of weird, but it could happen. It becomes a problem when every year the same 70% white men continue to win when there are really good music from other people who deserve it. Equal representation does not mean it should all be 50/50, it means the work should talk by himself and be awarded for it's quality, have the same chances as any other body of work. But that's not what happens when year after year we have lots of minorities not being represented, or just getting an nomination or niche award as a way to say "Congratulations, you exist!"
