recently on threads about kpop or specifically bts, i've seen a lot of people asking why bts is so successful in the west, or what they do to actually gain such a large following. this video explains it pretty well, and i thought it would be good to share it since so many people diminish the success of bts or don't seem to know why they are so successful :firega:

if you actually watch the video it clearly states that bts first obtained success in the west in 2014, and there were enormously successful kpop groups emerging in 2008/09. so it's actually much more likely that bts grew from super junior and bigbang fallout... :triggered:

they literally write their own lyrics, which are incredibly clever and a lot better than most lyrics that y'all praise to the heavens, they have incredibly intelligent lyrics and themes in their songs :triggered:
