Miel 15,009
Y'all I'm not like trying to invalidate her work as a songwriter? I'm just asking about her work solely as a producer. 3 points in and ready for more
pop ate my heart 2,865
I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is in the many interviews where she talked about being deeply depressed while doing this record, to the point that BloodPop was the one encouraging her to write music so that she can feel better. By saying this, I think it's fair to expect many songs being mostly produced by BloodPop or other people, while it's obvious at this point that she wrote all the songs. She also talked about this being the first time she let a lot of producers get into the process. She did say it's very collaborative. So, also as a music geek myself, this doesn't necessarily mean that it's an involution in her artistry or that she's just letting others do the job like many pop stars do. If you know Gaga, you'll be sure that she's the mastermind behind it all, and the one that orchestrated the entire thing, even though she's not credited in some songs (we don't know about the other 15 songs) It's just a change in the writing process, a different kind of experience. It's her opening up to be more collaborative (which adds to what the album's about), but her artistry remains untouched as always. And we can already tell by how original and well thought-out the album concept is! am i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-p-plastic

I saw your previous comment about how it doesn’t seem like she would work on DAW but in the Paper magazine interview the writer mentioned how she was flipping switches and changing things in the studio to make sure everything played right. I don’t think she’s clueless about it considering it’s all her equipment in her studio lol That's probably tweaking the sound on some studio console. And telling the engineers to do the command. Let’s wait until the album comes out before having threads like these tbh I don't disagree, but my question is also if this is possibly any indication for the rest of the album. I'd be very happy to be wrong! 3 points in and ready for more

I guess same with TIHTY, in that she had writing involvement, but wasn't the primary writer of said song. In the end, they're all fine songs, which I guess is what matters. Oh yeah she didn’t write TIHTY either ! That’s right . she prob also works w ghost writers (writers who get paid to not be credited) which LOTS of celebs do (twsift, beycone eberyvody ) ♥ Kindness Police. Haralampos 2,063
But at the other hand it's not so hard to work on a DAW. I just don't have the image cause she might want someone that does it better.

So Gaga not producing a single song (which isn't new, as evidenced by The Fame/The Fame Monster) is somehow offensive to you? Sorry, but suddenly being offended by Gaga not producing a single song is completely nonsensical. Not only that, but your outlandish comment talking about Gaga's apparent "laziness" showcases just how ignorant you are in regards to her work ethic and the countless times she has overworked herself physically/mentally. It just leaves me thinking which is was written by her. i mean if one writer suggested one line changed to flow better or one work changed to fit the melody... they get credit so it wouldnt take much to have so many writers

Venus validated that, I guess? Now I'm curious as to what DAW she is primarily familiar with, haha. I guess she has a different process for each album, and this one she just simply took a step back. I read somewhere Just Dance was made on Logic Pro, so I assume all her songs are made on that Digital Audio Workstation. I wouldn’t be surprised if some ARTPOP songs were made on FL Studio though. Maybe even Stupid Love? Idk... 🤷🏼♂️

dynamite 58,653
It probably took 5 writers to decide on whether to use chain or shame Like a poem said by a neydy in red

zerojk 4,954
I don’t mind that she doesn’t produce the track but if she ever stops writing her music its going to be such a disappointment
