The Joanne World Tour was kind of an exception. I can't imagine her changing her entire discography to fit that soft-rock style (however Madonna effortlessly did it for the Drowned World Tour). However, for the Chromatica Ball she could very easily turn her hits into the modern dance pop club style that she's going for if she tried.

I would honestly love that! Like an Artrave 2.0!

Also Just dance, Paparazzi, and Lovegame can stay as well.

But if we leave this many big hits (Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Paparazzi, and Bad Romance) alone then that's completely against the point I'm making that these songs are becoming repetitive at her shows.

How about no? Like?? :green:

I came to hear the song not some remix :fail:

thats why i prefer MB 1.0 LoveGame (the first few dates) over MB 2.0

remixes don't slap as hard as the original version.

You say that now but in ten years when she's still performing half of The Fame in it's original form with the same choreography and forgetting that ARTPOP exists this is what we're going to be saying:

Playing "Beautiful Dirty Rich" and "The Fame" at Enigma was so unnecessary I had to apologize to my copy of ARTPOP

at least for me, it's not really getting tired from her music, but it gets kind of boring after ten years of her singing the same songs in the same way while having a whole new tour and concept... redoing arrangements/remixing songs on a tour help to get her older songs fresh and breathe new life in then, while also making them fit better the feel of the era/album

Yall might disagree with me, but lemme just say it - Gaga doesn't put much effort in her tours.

She has never bothered to make new renditions, connect the songs with transitions, make new completely new performances. It's the same thing with a different outfit on. Her stage presence saves her.

Sorry :poot:

She needs to 70% ditch choreos and rely on acting and stage props/theatrics.

Better staging. TMB and the BTWB both had stages that transported the audience to an alternate reality for an hour+ while the aR & JWT stages were just kind of bland imo

The JWT stage was far from bland though. It was more sleek and refined, but it definitely was cool to look at and worked as a whole concept. The inclinations and levels during eg Scheiẞe, Bloody Mary and Bad Romance were a treat for the eye.

OT: I know this is a very popular opinion on here, but I personally actually don't agree.
For me the live versions are different enough because of the live band.

I know it's an unpopular opinion here to talk positively about her music and enjoying her older music here, but yeah I agree.

I know we want new music here, but I'm just thankful we get to hear her music, even though it's "old", "dated", or even "boring" to you. Just be thankful for her artistry!

like, not exactly what this post is about. But she spent almost 7 years not singing the studio version of TEOG, always doing (beautiful) piano renditions, at least in my opinion, it was really exciting when she sang it the studio version on Enigma cause it had been so long since she had done it... it's no like Alejandro and Telephone for example, where I love them, but it's nothing special cause she always sing's at the same way on tours since TMB

I think Gaga puts a lot of work and thought into the production of each song instrumental. Part of me thinks she keeps them as is, is because she might think changing them would completely change the feel of the song. The overall instrumental and production of a song are just as important to the connection each person feels with said song, as the lead vocals are.

See "Stronger" at Piece of Me or "Toxic" at Femme Fatale tour. Random examples I could think of at the top of my head. But changing the instrumentals really sometimes changes the songs for the worst. Just not as exciting to experience live.

Imagine "Just Dance" without those intro synths? It wouldn't be the same.

indeed, and you can make perfection better :ally:

not Chromatica

Omg @Loeppke thanks so much for this! I wanted to make a thread like this for the longest time! I actually started a couple of times, but I'd always delete them. I completely agree. I think she could keep signature parts of the respective songs while still keeping them fresh. And it'd make the shows so much more consistent! Things like the transition from PARTYNAUSEOUS to Paparazzi @ the ArtRAVE give me whiplash. Hopefully she can change it up a bit after having a greatest hits kinda show that was Enigma.
