Leaks happen. If you don’t want to see discussion of it, stay in this thread or off the Chromatica thread until you feel ready, but you can’t silence others just because it makes you uncomfortable. Everyone else has a right to free speech, not just you

It IS disrespectful, I don't care how much money you've paid for her merchandise. It's still heartbreaking for Gaga, she's a person too and I'm sure she's devastated right now. Did you see how upset she was in FF2?

Leaks will spread regardless. If we don't talk about them here, people will find out from the 500 other platforms that are sharing and talking about them. It really doesn't make any difference.

I understand the different perspectives on leaks. It sucks for the artist who don’t get to share their polished work in the way they want to, and it’s wrong for someone to take that away from them. I hate that it happens. Last night I felt so sad that it happened again and that I didn’t have the restraint to not listen.

But for the fans, I think it makes us so much more excited and it gives us something to focus on while we endure the wait. I mean, yes things are better now that we have a date, but it still did something... magical for the fanbase last night.

You’re saying “please don’t talk about the leaks” but we can “listen to them” without talking about them. Nobody needs your permission to listen or talk about the leaks. I understand your frustration but you have the option to not read it, you just choose to read it and complain about its existence.

I’m aware Gaga was upset about leaks previously—what artist wouldn’t be?—but shaming a fellow fan for listening to a leak isn’t helping anyone. It’s not like Gaga keeps tabs on every fan and whether they’ve listened to leaks or not—it’s out there and that’s reality. We aren’t directly hurting her or the “artistic process” just because we listened. If anything, the leak has BUILT momentum and hype for the album That wasn’t there 24 hrs ago.

I can relate to this. I wasn't excited about Chromatica but now I think I would like to listen to it and I'm waiting for May 29!
