None of the non singles on ARTPOP were experimental compared to the singles, they were all written to be hits. Joanne could also have any song released as a single. The Fame and The Fame Monster definitely. Applause more experimental than Swine or MJH? Perfect Illusion more experimental than Diamond Heart or Dancin’ in Circles? You may say PI is experimental, I do believe it is, but to a point... “It wasn’t love, it wasn’t love” “I want your stupid love, love” “I want your la-la-love, I want your love” There’s a definite trend here to Gaga’s lead singles. So for me, lyrical content DOES make a song less experimental. This is just my opinion, we can agree to disagree no problem. I just think DH is our first true Gaga “rock” song, vocals so raw. The sitar in DIC says enough, she’s never had that sound before. TFM... DITD is more experimental to me than BR. No way is Telephone experimental compared to any other track on that album. Telephone is the most cookie-cutter radio song on there. I’ll just leave it at that.

Franch Toast 26,874
I honestly don't care what "most" fans think are her best songs. I can't force myself to like something just because other people think it's popular. With the exception of "Bad Romance," I don't think any of her lead singles have been her "best" songs on their respective albums. (I hate "Applause" and "Perfect Illusion," unless the latter is performed acoustically.) Again, this is my opinion. Maybe 99% of fans think otherwise, but that doesn't matter to me and doesn't diminish my fondness for the songs that are my favorites. "Stupid Love" is perfectly fine but not super exciting to me. Considering how I feel about her lead singles vs. other songs on her earlier albums, I think there's a very likely chance I will find other songs on Chromatica that I like better than "Stupid Love." For example, on ARTPOP, my personal favorites are "Dope," "Gypsy," "MANiCURE," "ARTPOP," and "Aura." My personal favorites from Joanne are "Angel Down" and "Just Another Day" (and then "Diamond Heart" and "A-YO"). On The Fame Monster it's probably "Brown Eyes," "Summerboy," "Beautiful Dirty Rich," and "Paparazzi." (BTW has too many favorites, but the lead single is not one of them.) After "Bad Romance," my favorites on The Fame Monster are "Speechless" and "Dance in the Dark." Anyhow, I think there's a very good chance there are songs on Chromatica that I will like more than "Stupid Love." Can't say how other fans will feel because we all have our own unique tastes. Only time will tell. She/Her/Hers

ChromaticRaccoon 1,761
Paparazzi > Just Dance Speechless > Bad Romance Hair > Born This Way Dope > Applause Diamond Heart > Perfect Illusion Is That Alright > Shallow Just because it's the lead, doesn't mean it's your favourite, maybe you should stop letting other people make up your opinion for you

Most stans from what I've seen are sick of MR and don't like A-Yo. Fan favourites from Joanne are Diamond Heart, John Wayne and DIC.

If the song was really bad, it wouldn't have gotten a lot of streams luttuce be honest. And John Wayne surpasses it despite not being a single.
