Yas queen ignore everything I said

well what you said wasn't what i was discussing. i was discussing the actual quality of the concert itself and the performances within it. you were discussing the overall quality of the film (which i agree would probably be up to standard). i should've clarified in my original post.

I have a feeling theyre preparing public for a new reality not related to the virus.

Introducing live entertainment in digital streaming era. Since def seems the next step. This def might work for the fans.

For gp only if tgeres a pack of artists and cool plataform and make it somehow interactive

A small fee is okay. If they start charging ticket level fees then they can forget it lol

Well they wouldn't be selling ~20,000 tickets, they'd be selling the right to view to millions.

Of course it wouldn't be ticket prices :air:

Honestly, I'd live for this :flutter: a Chromatica Ball PPV. The only difference between that and other PPV concerts (which are a thing already, btw) is there'd be no audience in the venue.

I'd pay 5 or 10 bucks to watch it live.

I think this is a good idea. It'd be like this.

It's not :green: there's no way it can. Maybe later European dates but US dates are out of the question at least for a year or more.

They’re making it seem like human civilization is over for a virus that ,based on serological studies that have assessed the true amount of people infected, (studies done throughout the United States , Germany , Israel , etc) has anywhere between a 1-0.2% mortality rate and mostly affects the elderly and immunocompromised like ... like the flu is is between 0.1-0.2% CFR and that’s with a vaccine , so imagine how less fatal COVID will prove to be once we have game changer treatments and vaccines ... this **** is seeming more and more like forced restructure of geopolitics and human life mhhmmmmm...

anyways we will go back to concerts soon enough but only if big daddy state governments allow us to

talking about everything though, from the camera quality to the actual content and performances and staging. i just don't think you can make a virtual concert that is anywhere near the quality of a real concert dvd

Right. It takes a village to make a pop stage production. Lighting guys. Sound guys. Electricians. Prop and set builders. A full backing band. A dozen dancers. Videographers. Costume, hair, and makeup, separate for Gag and the dancers. It's way too many people to be allowed to gather together, so some roles we will have to either try and do it virtually or do completely without.

If Gaga only invites like 5 staff members to be physically present and help make the video, who would be the most important?  Keep in mind that if it's "live" it has to all be in 1 take. I would say she could make a pretty enjoyable video with her and a piano, 1 or 2 other musicians (Bryan Newman maybe?), a camera operator, and a lights operator. Or if she wanted to make a more dancey video, invite Richy and another dancer to help with movements and forget the other musicians.

Virtual concerts are not it.

It's the reason why we send letters, cards, postcards, even though we have email and instant messaging

There is a fundamental difference.

But I won't and plenty of people here don't like that idea either.

So be it, that's a decision that you're making. But that's true of everything on the Internet these days, including music. It's not because Chromatica will be easy to snatch online for free that they should make it free for everyone, because the decent thing to do is still to pay for it. The rest is just out of their control.

Most people are not gonna pay for this. If Lady Gaga does a virtual concert you have to pay for, you bet your ass most of us will wait for the next day when streamers share their links online. You can't replicate going to a real concert with a virtual concert. I'm not here for that. Now a free stream performance to watch on YouTube I am here for.
