no, it doesn't feel like the start of a new era. usually Gaga is talking to us during the beginning of a new era and we've had very little communication with her.

Guys! You are living in a historic moment! Imagine how people felt during WWII? This is the modern equivalent of a world crisis in that magnitude. In one or two years you will see the real effect of this pandemy in every aspect of society and you will feel weird that you cared so much about Delaytica.

I support her waiting until social distancing is lifted to release that album. 
 

BUT, I find it annoying that she is not interacting with fans. You can save the world AND socialize with your fan base at the same time. One doesn’t cancel the other, especially since she is stuck at home. Look at Charli XCX, Miley, dua, Doja, etc. they make the effort to involve their fans in on their quarantine life while Gaga keeps a secrecy. It’s 2020 and I think socializing with your fans on Instagram live is what you should be doing these days, and this applies to her even before quarantine. She’s not good at utilizing social media and it’s why she’s one of the least followed pop stars. For as big of a star as she is, that’s kind of sad. 
 

but then I look at the other pop stars who have come out around her time (Beyoncé, Katy, Taylor, etc) and they’re pretty secretive during this time and in general as well on social media. So I think, maybe the social media thing is just more used by the younger pop stars because the older girls just never adjusted to the social media presences and its impact.

The hype has definitely gone but the way I look at it is that the era has just been paused and she is gonna pick up again once coronavirus has started to go away. 

I would prefer her to be quiet about Chromatica before the music was released than after because we would be annoyed if she didn't talk about it or say much when the music was out. We have another reason to get hyped again when she starts teasing new music and because she would have nothing else to say otherwise. If we had the music and no music video for a long time it wouldn't be as exciting.

To me everything stopped, when the pandemic hit my country... my job, visiting my family whenever I wanted,  spend time with my godson, going to movies with him, going to a nice restaurant, get together with friends... As for Gaga, the moment she decide to restart the era again, the hype will go up again. My hype is just on slow burn waiting to 💥. Lately I'm getting a bit hyped about things around me, Idk I'm feeling that generally things are getting better.

It is just an entire disappointment for me. Obviously for everyone else too, but it just feels, empty. I've stopped listening/ watching SL since the announcement of the delay to try and savour the hype/era, because if we were having this delay with nothing coming at all, I still wanted SL to be fresh and cohesive when listening to the album in it's entirety. Because of this decision, it's almost like there's nothing at all with the exception of the leaked album cover/ tracklist that she was forced to post. If those didn't leak, there wouldn't have even been a post in the first place I feel. I just kinda wish there was more communication period. This is a time especially when we all need better communication in every aspect of our lives. I keep trying to stay positive that it IS coming and Gaga is just trying to make an overall positive difference in the world before delving into the era further, but it just sucks. Everything right now in life pretty much sucks and we all just have to keep going day by day and hanging in there. This trailed off into a ramble, I'm sorry.
