Research takes a lot of money to do. The more money is poured into it, the faster things can move along since work won’t be impeded by loss of funds.

I don't think the headline is misleading. There's nothing in the headline suggesting she organised anything.

She made a donation, along with 30 other countries, to fund research projects pertaining to a COVID-19 vaccine.
