PND/The Weeknd is the blueprint for everything Drake is doing... and they do it better and more naturally. He is sooooooooo lazy but when you put that much effort into pandering, I suppose that it must be hard work to project something you aren’t. Not trying to be disrespectful but I don’t think of Drake as much more than an entertainer. Pitchfork kinda agrees with your point and dragged with this: "He has not evolved past the tensions that have defined this half of his career—the sulky revenge fantasies of a petulant man-child who is capable of loyalty to men but treats all women with suspicion. He remains in a suspended state of something resembling teenage boyhood, in which he is constantly aggrieved, but never accountable." They gave Joanne a 6.9 and ASIB 7.4 on a three day bender

Similar to how internalized racism instilled in POC leads to same effect with popular white artists (if you’ve fallen down that path on Twitter, you’ll see lots of popular tweets about how many wanted to see Dua fail with her album because she’s white and she’s praised by white gays). One of these days y’all will be ready to have that conversation. Another thing. It’s funny how quick some of y’all are to point out how sexism is at play for making him successful for making the same music while y’all praise female artists for doing it (Even getting mad at them if they don’t) and ignore male artists who change up their brand. The quicker y’all find that self realization the quicker we can see the LGBT community grow. That’s all I have to say.
Lion Heart 15,041
How are people not exhausted with Drake is beyond me. His stuff all sounds the same. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Bradley 59,929
I don't hate Drake and I'm not saying it's good that one less album is contending for Album of the Year.

ALGAYDO 34,575
So now we’re celebrating the fall of another artist? Why? Because he’s straight? Because he’s popular? Because you dong like his genre of music? Because your fav could literally never reach his level of commercial success? Y’all need therapy if seeing others fails really gives y’all that much joy tbh.
