Davian 44,859
Accelerate, c'mon babe, pick up your speed Stamina, fill me up, that's what I need Today (May 3rd 2018) it’s already TWO years ago since Christina Aguilera releases ‘Accelerate’ (ft. Ty Dolla $ign & 2 Chainz) as leadsingle of her 6th studio album Liberation! It was her first lead single in six years, the last one being Your Body in 2012. During her long break she focused on doing the Voice, but most of all taking care of her family. The single was like every era completely different from everything she has ever done before. Especially since her last era was super pop, and this time she came back with an experimental hip hop track. Sadly it did not deliver on the charts and got stuck on the Bubbeling Under of the Billboard Hot 100. The song did manage to top the US Billboard Dance Club Songs. MUSIC VIDEO: Personal experience: Accelerate is a special song for me since it was the start of me becoming a Christina Aguilera fan! I never listened to Xtina in the past and only really liked Moves Like Jagger. Even the DWUW remix was not my thing because I didn’t like her voice... One time I came across Accelerate and honestly hated it. But it kept getting stuck in my head. It’s so catchy! I kept coming back to it to the point where I became a guilty pleasure. I became more interested in her, started listening to Bionic and the rest is history... Now she’s my all time favorite artists together with Gaga What are my thoughts on Accelerate now? It’s a BANGER! It aged like fine wine and just gets better and better. It really deserved better promotion because it could’ve done well. Dance Remix with NEW vocals (must listen!): She performed this remix at LA Pride and even recorded new vocals for it. She doesn’t really use her voice like she normally does on the original, but on this one she goes full-on Xtina! Sadly it’s not on streaming services but it’s such a bop. 2 Chainz is not on this version. What were your thoughts when you first heard the song and what do you think of it now? Let us know! Hoping some Accelerate stans come through to defend this underrated bop What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂

Queen Bitch 10,513
The song that proved that Kanye isn't very good at producing pop songs I say that as a fan of him.
COOOK 76,406
omg your personal experience with this song and then her becoming one of your top faves is quite astonishing I've known her since her stripped era and as the eternal rival of Britney (at that time everyone loved to pit women against each other like that)... MTV I'm looking at you: Spoiler
Enigma 7,182
I remember when it was posted here I thought it was pure steaming TRASH. Like, I could not believe it was an actual song because it made NO SENSE musically. Funny how the tables have turned cause I ended up adding it to my library and literally a week ago I was listening to it and thought “Oh wow, I’ve been bopping to this everytime it comes on for a year and I’m not tired yet” (Exact same story for Medellin which somehow ended up in the top 10 of my 2019 Rewind ) It’s not commercial so I get the floppure but imo it slaps
Ryusei 61,025
Well I like it more now than when I first heard it. Still love the "honey" or whatever it is dripping scenes in the MV. Still hate Ty's 10 packs of cigarettes a day voice in the chorus part Musery
RickMonster98 7,454
At the first listen I was SO disappointed, I thought it was her worst song EVER It grew on me, but Ty Dolla $ign part is still atrocious and it was such a bad choice making it the first single they should have opened the era with FIL, which undoubtedly deserved more
Original Diva 4,958
I love this song so much and I wish Liberation's sound was more like this. The album as a whole was not very cohesive at all, though it had some great tracks... It had potential but it just didn't work as a full body of work. excuse me no
IAmNotHere1997 25,824
The definiton of a GROWER I didn't quite like it at first, and thought it was a demo or something. But it grew on me sooo much. I listened to it like 30 times in the first day. It's a major BANGER, experimental, sexual and easily top-ten in my fave Xtina songs list. And the video is a SERVVE. I love the combo of pink-blue. And she looked so sexy for a 37-years-old mom

culturalbaptism 2,871
Taste, artistry and legacy. Another hit ahead of its time for miss Christina. Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.
Guest
The first 15 seconds is the best part of the song. And the sudden change from that is so jarring.
