If she decides to raise the child as non-binary (which I didn't even hear her say, i don't know where you got that from, but I hope it's not the same place you got that Influenza joke from and thought it's real), she's literally telling them that you are not assigned to any specific gender and that you get to decide to be whoever you want to be. I have friends raising their kids this way and they are perfectly happy. Also, I don’t know where you are from? Maybe you are from a very backward conservative southern town and don’t have access to to being in a thriving modern community .
