Gaga doesn't owe YOU or any of us jack ****. As much as you may think she does, she does not care about you and will postpone the album until next year without uttering a word, while you continue to suffer, JustinLovesGaga. Take this, JustinLovesGaga; Gaga does not LoveYou the same way you LoveHer
MelbHawker 6,583
Either she hasn't decided on a definitive date yet or her teams worked out that leaks are more likely to occur if people know the date of a release.

buzzkill 5,152
If she announce the date, the album will leak. Do if she drop some singles, would be better
Aga Gydal 3,158
I know, it’s frustrating, but my guess is she’s going to announce it along with other updates (Chromatica Ball postponement, a promo single, updated pre-order info), so that info is either still being finalized or it’s scheduled to come our way very soon. If she’s targeting a May release after all then it’s safe to assume next week will get us updates.

heavymlover 340
She probably can't even if she wanted to. Interscope is in charge of that.
LG2008 5,319
Interscope The most obvious thing would be that Interscope don't want to release it yet but I read in other threads that they want to release it as soon as possible... Imo, I think that they don't want to release the album now for commercial reasons...
VasilisVas 5,196
Because she wants to punish and torture the gays for all the leaks. Duh.
omori 437
I think people need to stop with the narrative that she's under interscope's "control" - she's an international star with a huge cult following, at this point in her career i'm sure her record deal allows her as much creative and commercial input as possible. She most likely has a huge say in marketing decisions. Her and her team just do not want to release the album right now. They will stay quiet about it as long as possible. If nothing leaks we might not see the album for quite some time. I might sound pessimistic here, but I'm just trying to keep my expectations in check. Franch Toast 26,911
I really think it's because they haven't yet decided on a new date, and by "they," I mean Gaga in consultation with her team, including Interscope folks. 2020 has been thrown into havoc for all of us, Gaga included – her plans for Vegas, the Chromatica Ball Tour, and her album release all have been messed up. She may not only be trying to figure out a new release date but also new dates for these other events too. It's a puzzle with many pieces. She may not only be trying to figure out a new release date but also new dates for these other events too. It's a puzzle with many pieces. And, this would be understandable if she provided some kind of communication to 1. let us know that she still has some kind of desire to provide an experience to fans on par with what she used to/others in the industry provide (that in the days of social media, includes things like letting fans know dates, teasers, etc.), and 2. allow us to sort the pieces of our OWN puzzles since many of us spent our money to support her professional endeavors with little build-up and even less follow-up, only to be thrown into the coronavirus superstorm without knowing where the album, concert, merch, etc. are that we spent money on - money from a revenue stream that is now gone. None of this is directed at the poster I quoted, but the "she owes you nothing" line is really wearing thin. Do you really think Lady Gaga would be able to put together an event like she just did had not a single fan listened to her music when she was trying to make it back in 2007-2008? Had we not purchased albums, gathered on the dance floor, dressed up for her concerts, and gave her access to the resources she needs to have the celebrity she does in 2020? It really is sick to see people idolizing celebrities, starstruck over their generosity and kindness or whatever, only to then turn right around and act as if the FANS are not absolute stakeholders in these PROFESSIONALS' CAREERS. They are not God(s). They are humans. They have jobs. The job in question here is as a music professional. To be successful as one, you need fans to purchase your music and enjoy the products you put out. If not, you lose your job like every other one of us. I am not suggesting that we bombard her with nasty messages or worse until we get answers; but, I will continue to defend against those who think fans are 'entitled' or are 'owed nothing' when they simply are asking a professional whose career they invested in to open the lines of communication so we can make informed decisions on whether we want to continue investing any more in this. The post-ASIB blackout was really rough for someone who wanted to believe that the lack of engagement was all for something planned; but, WTF? She had time to promote and show up for her own event, but after 7 years of waiting for mainstream pop music, she's had not one minute to promote or discuss Stupid Love, her album, her tour, etc., in some live format with her fans? She just blasted us with a new single to buy, album to pre-order, and concert tickets to buy in 1 week before going dark, and nobody is allowed to think that isn't a good look?
