ROM on the 8th and the album on the 29th is the only SANE roll out, if it's really coming in May. anything else would be too close to 22nd and too risky. let's not forget that media is probably waiting around for Gaga to make one wrong step, so ARTPOP 2.0 can happen. she's been winning too much lately and people won't allow it. releasing ANYTHING related to Ariana in any way, shape or form holds the potential of starting an ugly narrative.

Would a release be better on the day? It would make sense with Ariana. I mean No Tears Left To Cry and then Rain On Me "I'm out of the downpour, at least I'm alive." Could be taken wrong, but I mean Ari made a very pop song about it as well. It could be a very big anthemic song to survivors

This is not true 

Gaga has been amazing at turning her brand round since 2014 - look at the one world just the other week. 

Critics loved SL despite the reaction everywhere else - well, not sure they hated it - it  just made no noise past week 1. Point is she's in a phenomenonal place right now for a song to do bad and no one bat an eyelid. Katy would get ripped apart. She won 5 Grammys and an Oscar just this last year 

It's just very tacky for it to be given that marketing, I agree. Even if it came out on that anniversary the girls would avoid mentioning it as per scooter instructions. I don't think it would be end of the world as long as its done right

Yes, at this point we don't care about what media says (at least in my case). It just doesn't make any sense to criticize something like that. I'm sure that if she releases the album the 15th or 29th and you search for the events, murders or accidents that happened that day, you'll find a lot of them too.

Anyway, I'm sure that if that's the date, she would not release ROM the same day as the album, she'll release it 1 or 2 weeks in advance for sure!
