This girl literally lived and breathed music in the first few years. Like she literally made it sound like she would die without it, like it was her life blood. 

I don't get that at all anymore. Joanne was just referred to as a gift to her family, to help them heal. And then ASIB she primarily focused on acting and becoming a character, and talking about Bradley 24/7. 

Now with Chromatica, in the brief periods she's spoken about it, I just don't feel that same passion anymore. It's lots of talking about crying and having to basically be dragged into a studio. Sucks cuz she's obviously hurting but as a fan, I'd rather her drop off the map for a while and heal herself and rediscover that passion she once exuded, and then come back stronger (assuming she wants to). 

I agree. It seems like music now is an obligation form a contract not form her art.

Some fanbases are worse than others and the monsters have huge numbers of idiots, not to mention racists and transphobes etc. It’s really strange because LG is so kind and loving but her fans are some of the worst, especially on Twitter.

If she doesn’t want to deal with seeing that on the internet she doesn’t have to, there’s no requirement. Some artists use social media even less or not at all.

Maybe yes. But I will not go into specifics but she is so Hollywood and I am happy for her I was invited to the Dive Bar tour and talked to her for a while. She seems in a much better place now. And staying away from her fans is a good thing. We are so toxic as a collective 😭

She still loves music. It comes natural to her. But she is human. Just because she developed a new passion does not mean she hates music. It just means she has refocused her energies to another art form.

I don't get this rationale at all. Every popstar's online fanbase is toxic. It doesn't represent the fanbase as a whole and it's not the reason Gaga is so distant.
