Just a quick question, are any of you the same person that you were 2011-2013? Have you changed?

I have the same prepubescent body that I did back then, yes.

I disagree about her seeming not passionate about Chromatica, her saying all that shite about sine waves, cancelling earth and talking to Jesus gave me pre-2014 flashbacks:huntyga:

the way people are saying here, seems like she is being forced to release music.

No one forces anyone to do what they do not want to do that late in their career. She is a season A list celebrity. She decides what she wants to do.

Girl it’s been 9 years since 2011 how would anyone still be the same :toofunny:

Exactly! You cannot expect Gaga to be BTW Gaga or ARTPOP Gaga.

Gaga seemed very happy being back with Stupid Love, I mean just look at her during the music video filming.

That I agree with.

I'm definitely open to having my perception changed. She definitely seemed very happy with Stupid Love, I agree. It's entirely possible that due to everything being suddenly taken away due to the pandemic, we just didn't get a full period of time where she seemed genuinely happy again.

I miss that. I just want her to be happy because I love her as a person, and I also think that her art shines when she believes in it.

I seriously doubt anyone here would say they haven't changed over the last 7-9 years. :air: I, for one, certainly have. But that doesn't mean I'm a completely different person. ;) My love for Gaga, for example, never dulled. :kara:

Of course we have changed. I was only 13 when BTW came out... like of course I am not the same, immature person as I was back then

I dont like to complain very often but who genuinly just cuts an era completely. I get postponing but she hasn't even been active on social media to interact with fans, talk music, teasing stuff...it's sort of really just plain. The beginning of the era feels stale and it's not just COVID to blame. It's also Gaga..she's being super boring / stale :selena:

--------------

edit: @Secret I really want to play the doodle game thing with you but I cannot because I suck at drawing and also I'm only on my ghetto busted screen phone RN :selena: I feel like I am missing out by not playing :selena:

its ridiculous the way you guys always find to blame the fans for everything. "she doesnt talk because the fans are haters", "what artist would want to talk to fans like that", but when its to buy lipstick she remember we exist and starting talking/representing us. if she doesnt want to be an musician, quit music then.

call me entitle or whatever but she's where she is now because a lot of us always support and were here for her, even throughout the shitshow was stanning her between 2013 - early 2015.

I think it's important to find a middle ground here.

I think that a portion of people on this site can be incredibly immature and dismissive. You complain about Gaga not communicating as much? "It's the fans' fault!" You point out the weirdness with Haus Labs continuing like nothing's going on? "If you don't like her, get off the forum!" You say you don't like something she does? "Stop hating on her! If you're a fan you should support her!"

It's really tiring to hear these types of comments being directed at what we should consider as members of a family. A family of people who support Gaga. And it's really sad when people make comments like that. There might be some truth to them, but it doesn't mean we can't be upset that she doesn't talk to us as much anymore. And just because we're fans doesn't mean we're forbidden from making any reasonable criticism.

I also agree with you that she is where she is because of her fans. It's a business. And communication, especially in today's age, is really important for an artist. Dua Lipa has gained fans left, right and centre this year. How? Releasing great music and engaging with the people who listen to it. It's completely fair to suggest Gaga should be communicating more, if only for the simple fact that her fans are her income.

However, I do have to say, it is also sad to hear comments like "quit music if you don't want to be a musician". She's making music because she wants to. And you are here because you like her music. And I don't think it's right to counter the extreme remarks you have mentioned in your post with more extreme remarks.

I think we should all try to be measured in what we say. There should be a place for all of our opinions here, but these opinions should all be stated with the intention of goodwill and friendly discussion.

We've all changed, for sure. I definitely have.
