Ferrets (which are in the same family as minks), can be carriers for covid-19, which is old news. Not every animal can get covid. The majority of them CANNOT get covid-19. So far, just ferrets (but ferrets can also get the human influenza virus so again this is not shocking lol), and now they are looking into felines as also being carriers, although this is a recent development and needs more research done before anything can be stated with certainty. Her name was Stella, based on their scientific genus, Mustelidae. They both had defects, so they were given to me because their fur couldn’t be sold And they would have been killed & thrown out. Sadly they both died within three months of me obtaining them, likely due to diseases they had acquired on the farm. They are kept in wire cages barely large enough to turn around. What a stupid way to spread fear... if you went to a mink farm & saw what it was actually like, the cesspool of diseases and odors these poor things can’t escape from, etc, you’d probably think they exhibited symptoms of every disease. EDIT: NVM. I see it said they tested positive. But worth mentioning certain vaccines cause false positives and mink are heavily vaccinated to survive the conditions they are in.
