I totally get this, as her voice has not aged well and it seems she hasn't taken care of it. Xtina now <<<<<<<<<<<<< Xtina then

I grew up with Xtina and when she was in her prime, her vocals SLAYED. Maybe you did too idk.

Sad to see someone so talented get paid dust in mainstream.

How is Xtina’s voice not aging well... Her voice is aging like fine wine! I’d say she sounds even better than she ever sounded. Her tone is so rich and her belts very clear. Her absolute peak was the Back To Basics era vocally but she is still a vocal powerhouse:giveup:

And I could go on and on...

What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂

I sort of get what they are saying in a narrow sense. Oftentimes, Xtina’s technique has been downright unhealthy. But I do agree with you that large portions of her voice are in wonderful shape (and her lower register had gotten way better as she has aged).  It’s almost the exact complaint I have about Mariah at this point (albeit she does have better overall technique but a less desirable tone than Xtina imo).

I think if she lowered the keys of her live performances and studio recordings where she wasn’t belting anything over ~B4, that’d be ideal. She wouldn’t have to strain to belt notes that she strains to hit and her lower register could be used more prominently. And her falsetto range seems to be just as good as ever, so we’d still get high notes too.

However, I do totally get the appeal of Xtina.

I can get behind this. However the thing with Xtina is that it’s all a stylistic choice. She knows very well how to use a proper technique (she explains it in Masterclasses and the Voice coachings)  and she knows how to perform without the overuse of belting. Yet she will always keep doing it her way since that’s the way she likes it. I do get how people don’t see the appeal of that (Xtina herself knows that too) but it does make her unique. I agree that the technique she uses isn’t the most healthy, but somehow she still manages to keep it healthy and perform for 20+ years already. Some others artists voices would already be tired after a few years if they used her technique, so she must take good care of her voice.

I do think she is finding a great balance nowadays in performances. She sometimes lowers the key, changes notes, goes in falsetto instead of belting or simply makes/chooses songs that are more comfortable to sing, but with a little Xtina flavor at the end.

I could say any male singer because I don't like any, really.

But Ariana Grande, honestly. I listened to multiple albums because I wanted to understand the hype. I've tried for years to get into her but I just can't. I find her music very basic and boring and her voice makes me want to cut my ears off. :green:

Chromatica Island

Tove Lo, Ava max, Billie Eilish (I like a few of her songs), Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, and any new country artist (old country is waaay better).

ADVENTURE

Travis Scott. Seems like he has cool imagery going on but does he even sing? Like girl, I can’t hear you.

Bjork. She is literally the worst international singer I have heard in my entire life. Everytime I hear a song of her I just don't get why she got so popular. Wierd rhythms, disturbing melodies, confusing lyrics, and this whole LSD trip like aesthetics she puts on her videos doesn't make any real sense to me.

River

Adele

Her voice is not something special and her songs are snoozefest, even the lyrics are not groundbreaking, it's just a bunch of breakup sad songs.

I only like her attitude, she's not giving a f-ck.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
