y'all actually think she'll suddenly be able to do traditional promo (award shows, performances, festivals, concerts, tv interviews etc) after lockdown ends (which is god nows when at this rate) are delusional. She won't be able to promo traditionally until we have a vaccine

Y'all saw how SL was catapulted to the top position on every streaming playlist, the permanent banners on iTunes, the billboards in London and big cities. That was a taster. She was definitely going to go ham on the promo, and this is why postponement is the best thing for the release

5 months after the album drops?  this is gaga we're talking about. Yeah she may still do some promo, but we will never ever have it 'second only to born this way'. And I strongly believe this is Gaga's last pop album, at least for the decade.

Unless something comes out that it will still be unsafe for large gathering after the summer, I think things will still go ahead. Even if it was delayed until 2021, she could still go to Coachella next year... who knows? Maybe she'll pull an Ariana Grande on us and drop 2 albums within 6 months of eachother 

Given the US response so far...best of luck any large events happening by September or even November. That would just be reckless. Yes, a certain flattening of sorts is happening but there is also the enormous push to re-open now which will cause a surge again. Then factor in the recession we’re faced with. I think a number of things will be *very* different even when this starts to get resolved, but hoping they’ll do so before September is wishful thinking tbh.

Front loaded?  she did promo for that album the entirety of 2011. She was doing tv in every country nonstop performances, interviews, music videos. What else could she have done??  She literally didn’t stop until 1 January 2012 and then she did a whole world tour

She promoted The Cure 6 months after it dropped... anything's possible   

Of course she won't do EVERYTHING she had planned, but definitely most of it I think   I doubt this will be Gaga's last album for the decade... there will be plenty more to come this decade, plus more Jazz records, movies and soundtracks... I can't see her not putting out a pop album for the rest of the 2020's. Thats unimaginable in my eyes, especially she is a pop artist at core

I don't agree, plus she literally technically could not do more promo for The Fame. Even if she wanted to. She was still a new star in the first year of her career at that point, she did not have as many opportunities as she did with BTW where she literally could be anywhere she wanted.
