The cheapest iPhone has a more powerful processor than the most expensive Android phone

Apple is using the A13 Bionic in the 2020 edition of the iPhone SE and it outperforms the Snapdragon 865 in almost every way.

Apple has updated the little iPhone SE for 2020, and even an Android fan has to see that it's a great phone at an even greater price of $399 for the base model. It's essentially an iPhone 8 with one big difference: it has Apple's A13 Bionic chip buried inside. And that's a big deal for a number of reasons.

I expect that some people are going to tell me about single thread versus multi-threaded performance and how the A13 GPU isn't that great or how iPhones have much lower resolution screens so the chips don't have to work as hard. All this is true, but another thing is true: the A13 is a stronger chip than the Snapdragon 865 for daily use in every category — we've seen this applied in real life in the iPhone 11 already. The only area it misses out is 5G, and that's because Apple just doesn't care about 5G yet. (The rumored iPhone 12 will almost certainly have a Qualcomm 5G chipset inside, for what it's worth.)

Nerdy things like CPU threads aside, you'll notice how well the new iPhone SE performs when you use it. Everything in a modern smartphone from web browsing to camera performance to less-used things like AR depends on the processor. You need to crunch numbers really fast if you want your phone to respond really fast. The $399 iPhone SE will be able to do these things faster than the new OnePlus 8 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S20+.

The iPhone SE may not be a better phone than something like the latest Pixel, Galaxy or OnePlus. It has a lesser screen, weaker single camera, doesn't have the wealth of OS features we've come to expect from an Android flagship, and you're still stuck with a lightning connector instead of a universal solution in USB-C. But when it comes to processor performance and future-proofing for software updates, the iPhone SE beats that Android flagship you're holding right now.

Meanwhile Android stans focusing on superficial things such as bezels and cameras to diss SE 2020, SE 2020 remain unbothered and actually one hell of a beast of a device, and it is a known fact now. And this is how y'all lost. :vegas:

Yes the cpu is the best on a phone (the real beast is the one in the iPad Pro)

But the design is disgusting and dated af (hell even the latest iphone looks dated with that huge and hideous notch) not to mention the new SE has a poor quality camera and screen.

If the used iPhone X or xr's design it would sell like hot cakes.

Can we stop with these childish feuds over a f*cking phone. Kim, people are dying.

A coverage is a coverage. Maybe not the one you need. Someone else will. Everyone have their own needs. :vegas:

I mean, what do you not get about budget phone? While android may try theie best to make their phones to look up to date but cutting corners on where it matters to make it affordable. Apple chose the opposite and  cut corner on the looks than the machine itself under it. :billie:

It is the matter of choice and taste, if you choose to have a pretty phone but crap inside, or dated looking phone but a beast inside.

Apple's chips are always the most powerful, was there an argument?

Anyway, seems like you don't know much, if any, about mobile tech, because everything else on that phone is dated compared to an Android competitor with the same price range. Offering less for a higher price -- the only difference in value in branding.:billie:

Android phones stopped being crap since like the s8 lmao, i had an iPhone 11 pro max for like a week and i couldnt stand it, the notch, the closed os, the lack of emulators and stuff, i returned it asap and went to the s20 ultra, the screen is SO smooth (much better than the 60hz on the iPhone).

Android phones also have much better cameras.

But eh, its a matter of prefference i guess.

Not really im just sharing my opinion, not everyone has to like these overpriced and restricted phones.

I do love my iPad Pro 2020 and its pencil tho, that tablet is unmatched.

A 399$ phone can compete with flagships of all other company. Apple's genius move honestly.

Not many people buy Iphone based on specs since its a optimized OS. But having such a powerful processor ensures that this phone will stay competitive for at least 2 years from now in the price range and apple can push updates to this phone for more period than competition. I saw reviews from top Tech reviewers and it sure will eat lot of sales of most of the companies, including google pixel. It nails basics of phone and that's more than enough for most general user.  Pair that with small footprint and apple's user experience, it has got a MASTER ACE on its hand.

Also, as apple can cover a new category of customers, it's entire portfolio will get significant boost.
