From a health care perspective, the timing is very unsafe. Obviously she is very privileged in comparison to working class-poor people, which would maybe grant her access to safer prenatal care. However giving birth in a hospital and having a newborn would be scary for anyone right now. Do not recommend.

She's in the position to get to a hospital safely and once at a hospital, she will be very safe because that is the place with the most strict precautions and care. She might not even get pregnant when they first start trying, a few months can pass. Also she will be pregnant for 9 months, so it's not like she's going to deliver in august.

Here in the Netherlands, as long as you go by the rules, being pregnant at this time is just as safe as normaly. Both my cousins and two friends are pregnant atm and the only concern they have is their partners not being allowed to be present during gyno visits and the birth itself.

That’s enough reason not to do it right now, imo. A friend of mine recently gave birth and she said it was frightening/nerve-racking to be alone with just the doctor and nurse. She originally planned for her boyfriend and mom to be in the room with her.

I understand, but she would not deliver right now, but in about a year. A lot can change in that time.
