Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in China, Shanghai Disney Resort has been closed since late January. However, the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, Disneytown, and Wishing Star Park resumed limited operations on March 9, with health protocols in place to keep guests safe and prevent the further spread of the virus.

No official reopening date has been released for Shanghai Disneyland, but with schools set to reopen across Shanghai from April 27 through May 11, many are anticipating a full reopening soon.

if they want this to work they need to restrict how many guests are allowed into the theme park

Perhaps only limited online bookings should be valid for now

I really don’t see how it could work at all. Ride capacity won’t work, shows won’t work, parades won’t work, restaurants won’t work. Like I know Disney wants to reopen but it just doesn’t feel plausible.

People won't pay attention to this...people are gonna shove, push, and run to get to their favorite rides... :smh:

That’s the title from the article I posted. But I mean it is imminent as in will happen so...

sounds like it will be a mess.

Literally no one follows the guidelines. I was at the post office a few weeks ago, and despite the markings on the floor, people still stayed too close. It will be a mess.

Shanghai Disney was a f***ing disaster when I went. People literally do not understand the concept of social distancing. Literal children and adult peeing on grass patches etc., I hope they have a system in place to ensure people practice social distancing.

Tokyo Disney was the complete opposite of Shanghai Disney though. People had a sense of personal space and people were courteous.

Hoping this goes well for them though

Disney is so money hungry even the woke washing wasn’t enough :awkney:

This isnt about disney. Places are reopening all over China. They have less than 1000 active cases to more than one billion people and most are imported, so discovered at people that have to be in mandatory isolation quarantine.

I wonder when do you think that places should reopen if this isnt enough. :selena:

Ok, imagine a 2 rooms, 1 full of inflammables and the 2nd one filled with dynamite to the brim. You prevented the fire in the 1st room before it spread to the 2nd one. Now you want to light a match because “there’s no fire duh”

I'm a Shanghainese and I can tell you that the Disneyland is not going to reopen very soon. It would've reopened but got criticized for being too hungry for money and promised to shut down again. Restaurants in Shanghai have reopened for a month and schools will reopen in May 5th. (and I'm a student in high school:huntyga:)

Imagine 1000 cases, most imported, to more than 1 billion people and u think that they need some sort of lockdown. :selena:

Oh I totally get your point but I don’t see how a theme park can operate with social distancing.
