Ew this thread wtf. Yes yes yes we know it’s perfectly legal in the UK, but can’t we all agree that it’s just plain weird for a freaking 25 year old to even make out with a 16 year old? Does it happen? Yes it does, doesn’t automatically make it alright. Tom isn’t only 9 years older, but the kid is high-school age, isn’t a 16-year old like a sophomore? And making out with a married adult man with a profession already. It is perfectly legal, but it’s creepy and shouldn’t really be allowed. Kinda predatory if you ask me. 16 year olds don’t have the same emotional maturity as a 25 year old. There’s a big unbalance in the dynamic. 

I know for sure that the response would be extremely different if the 16 year old was a girl. And let’s spice it up even more and make Tom Daley be an ugly, out-of-shape, gross-looking man. Oh now I can totally see everyone calling him a predator for sure.

16 is literally the age (in some states) the age of consent. This means that you can have sex, kiss, touch, etc with whomever you please.

You do whatever you want, but a 16 year old is a kid, a 25 year old is an adult, to me it is disgusting, to you because you're 16 you want it to be allowed, congrats it's allowed.
