Girls, we can all have our opinions about this and disagree on them. I don't necessarily think it'w a good thing to have such an age gap. But the fact is that it is legal and considered okay in parts of the world like the UK, so as much as we can have our varying opinions on it, it cannot be a "cancelled" situation. It's a non issue for me until we get more context.

I believe it, tbh. Everyone is asking why Tom (a 25 year old) would want anything to do with a 16 year old, but why did no one question why a washed up 40 year old screenwriter known for one moderately famous movie wanted to marry a 20 year old a few years back?

It lines up with the power dynamic Lance has over Tom when they were dating.

Not to mention there were a lot of reports Tom cheated on Lance years ago, but then they had a baby to “fix it”. 🙄
