Anyone else turned off by the kindness vibe?

Honestly I don't mind her talking about kindness but I wish she'd do it more organically, if that makes sense? Like, there are actually many other celebrities who talk about those issues but do it more passionately while speaking from their heart. I mean does she have to sound it like she just read a skript all the time?

I think it comes off as cheesy because it's too vague. "Be Kind" is way too generic of a message to follow. It's like starting a foundation to help kids with education and your message is "Study Good."  Without addressing the reasons why online stans are not kind, or giving more specific examples of what to do or not to do, how can you expect anyone to listen or make significant changes?

I also think that's why the "Kindness" message works well when it's a long interview detailed information (Yale interview, Oprah 2020 interview, both were very interesting and impactful to me personally) and why it falls flat when it's shoehorned in with another project

🙄 You all watch every single interview she does where she's asked the same questions and then get mad when she's not delivering new content every time. It's so entitled

She literally set up a foundation with a whole team of people doing research on it and going around to schools to talk about anti bullying etc. What are you even talking about...

It is becoming a little annoying, because it sounds less and less genuine the more she repeats it as if she is rehearsing a script she came up with and was like "this is the line I'll keep saying to really emphasize the point"

Also, I think it's one of the things she keeps telling herself so as not to have a fibro flare up which is aggravate by stress and trauma...the more "calm and nice" she feels and is...the better so she thinks overall people would feel better if they were kinder

I do love that she talks about kindness, and I do believe that it's a necessary conversation to have (not just nowadays, I don't actually believe people are less kind now than they were in any other time, I think that's just a fallacy, rosy retrospection and all that).

I'd say, though, that Gaga's kindness conversation is missing some nuance. This medium article about kindness and justice puts it in words better than I ever could:

I really don't think she means business.

What she means is it should be the goal. It doesn't mean we're all going to kind 100% of the time. I'm sure Gaga gets pissed off, moody and would love to rip plenty of people a new ass hole (including her little complainers) but she's just chosen to try and not go to that negative place. She's not always going to succeed because she's only human but I think it's a good thing to strive for. Putting it out there as her mantra can only be a good thing.  There are plenty of artists that will give you shade and fights but it's not what she's about. The way she liked Piers Morgan smcomment yesterday was an example of her being the bigger person. She never engaged with the insult but was gracious enough to acknowledge the apology.

I understand. Thanks for pointing that out.

I down for being kind and all that, but the execution is always so clunky and in your face that, yeah, I have gotten tired of it tbh

Why entitled though? I just expressed a wish. It's not like I actually expect her to change anything about it. You're the one literally getting mad at anyone in every thread for even expressing the tiniest criticism of Gaga. Maybe ask yourself why you can't just accept other people's opinions? :excuseu:
