Andreu 37,216
On April 20th 2018, so exactly two years ago, Avicii's dead body was found in Muscat, Oman. The news shook not only the dance music comunity, but the whole world. A few days later his family confirmed suicide to be the cause of his death, without giving any more details officially. At just 28 years old, the impact he left in the electronic music landscape is undeniable. Spoiler i was gonna write an essay about how he impacted my life but i changed my mind ssksk So I thought we could do something to remember him and his music, so I'm going to post my favourite songs of him and I'll be asking you to do the same. Tough Love is not my favourite song, even though it's one of my favourites, but I do think it's his most underrated one. The fact it sounds so different from what you'd expect from an Avicii song made a lot of people uninterested in the song, but isnt this surprise and innovative element what made Avicii great in the first place? The vocals and lyrics are incredible too. another one of my faves that brings me a lot of memories and that still sounds totally fresh 8 years after its release. His best song sound-desing wise. I hate how it was named a remix when he only uses three sentences of LK's songs and they don't even appear until the second half of the song. The way the synth melody start hits you... whew Kinda wish she released the 5+ minute long version that he played, but this song is still the ultimate Avicii classic: the epic guitar intro, the chorus, the lyrics... an increduble song. Another incredible song Last but not least this unreleased song, that i think would be my favourite of him if we had it in HQ excited to see your favourite songs by him below, and feel free to write whatever you want

Guest
it doesn't feel like such a long time omg, and the news were everywhere here and I remember everyone being so shocked, because that he visited the city closest to me just the year before (Sweden). Everyone were paying tributes for him later
Bubblegum Bitch 18,934
I wasn't really into Avicii's music, however I like some of his tracks. These two are probably my fav: P. S. I love songs he made with Madonna for her album "Rebel Heart", they are amazing.

corvus albus 38,031
Avicii was a fantastic and powerful musician. I'm sure that even into the future he would have shaped music as a genre He deserved a better life.
Andreu 37,216
Not to forget about his iconic UMF performances 2012 with Madonna the 2013 performance w the live band that got a lot of backlash, and in which he premiered most of his debut album True. the 2015 one was not professionally recorded bc he premiered a lot of his second album stories and in 2016 where he premiered a lot of new music (which is hes best even tho it's mostly not been related )

His music was the soundtrack of my middle/high school years. So fucking talented. I hope he's resting now. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.
