ALGAYDO 35,052 Posted April 20, 2020 Share Posted April 20, 2020 Takes me back to my senior year in HS during the 2012 election cycle when the students of my high school were on some Social Justice Warrior high and they suddenly- for a few months- gave a shít about politics. Anyway, there was this redneck-ass family who’s kids would always sport some sort of confederate flag bullshít. Like, they deadass had shirts, sweaters, jeans etc. with confederate flag patches sewed on, or like those cheap stickers kids put on their notebooks, you name it. And they would use nasty, racist language all the time (calling Latinos “wetbacks,” referring to Asians as the “Ching-chongs,” and of course using the N-word, both with an “a” and a hard “er” at the end) and then playing it off as jokes. ANYWAY neither the school nor the parents would do shít about it. So some of the seniors in our school went down to their house (down the street from campus, big ass red truck with confederate flags, guns, and skull decals all over its rear-view window and bumper, plus two giant XXL confederate flags- one waving on their porch and the other on their roof- all out in the open. You couldn’t miss it no matter how much you’d like to pretend it wasn’t there) to tear down their confederate flags and their YES ON PROP 8 lawn signs (lol remember that whole gay mess?). My sister used to live on a residential military base in So Cal and driving out of the area I looked over and someone’s garage was open and had a huge flag on the wall.
