"The 200 participants generally appeared healthy, but about half told the doctors they had had at least one symptom of COVID-19 in the past four weeks."

This looks terrifying, what do you guys think about the test situation, US particularly?

Yes it's good in some way, but they will infect people who are more vulnerable I think? Like if my grandma is exposed to infected no symptom people, I don't think she can survive.

A good positive thing is that means that the mortality is way lower. But also that it circulated more in the community which on the brightside, could also mean that some territories are closer to herd immunity.

So do you think it's right that government should treat it as a flu and let things go back to normal? The mortality rate in Europe is concerning tho.

It is killing at a much faster and higher rate than the flu in the US. NO vaccine. So no, it should be treated like a much bigger danger.

COVID-19 has killed 40,000 in the US as of now. In 1-2 months. The flu killed 34,200 in the 2018-2019 flu season. The flu season lasts about 6 months or so.

COVID-19 has killed 40,000 in the US as of now. In 1-2 months. The flu killed 34,200 in the 2018-2019 flu season. The flu season lasts about 6 months or so. 

AND a majority of the US is in shelter in place. Just imagine if the US didn't decide to close up a month ago.

Apparently people who developed antibodies can get infected a second time, new cases in South Korea appear to come from people who've already been infected once.

So the immunity people develop against the covid19 seems to last only for a while

What these testing could show is that a very huge number of cases go undereported. The mortality in Europe is a ratio based on the confirmed cases but it's possible so many more infections happened that the mortality even there could be significantly lower.

I read another article about a district in Germany where there were 3000 confirmed cases but antibodies were found way more people. I tried to search for the article but I can't find it now. 

I don't think this means that we should stop the restrictions. Heard immunity happens when at least 50% of the people have immunity and that is still far. Restrictions still slow the rate to which the virus is spreading and avoids a big number of infections happening in a short time. 

It's also creepy to think that you or people in your city possibily had the virus but didn't know it.

It makes me wonder if I’ve been infected and didn’t even know it. I worked in an office in Manhattan, and took packed trains to and from work.

I didn’t get sick all winter except in late February where I thought I was coming down with a cold but it went away in like two days.

Luckily we took some measures, but based on the data deaths per day are still not going down. Minus the weekends because the data is always underreported. But we probably won't see a real decline until we hit at least 50k. And then there's the whole trip down from there. The 60k deaths number the WH put out isn't looking quite accurate. Shocking...
