I remember reading an interview years back talking about how she vaccinated her kid and being so relieved wasn't an anti-vaxxer. My, my how the tables have turned.

I think she has resentment to most big pop stars tbh. Not that she hates them or anything, but she's against the industry.

She later said that she's not against vaccines, and that she vaccinated her kid. It's just that she's against the vaccine companies that do trials in Africa, which makes a point. Or something like that, I have a hard time following her Instagram lives

No, I hold anyone who spews ignorant **** to the same standards. I'm actually incredibly critical of Gaga and refuse to support her financially in any way (i won't get into the reasons because I know it will get ugly here and I have 0 energy for that). I also don't agree with some of her political hypocrisy. So yeah idc who the person is, if they do something shitty I'll call them out regardless.

Yeah I agree it's mostly due to her problems with the American music industry. And honestly I'd probably feel the same way if I were her. 

Well I don't know if she went back on her words a bit there because at first she claimed her son got sick after being vaccinated (almost certainly a coincidence) and she didn't mention vaccine trials until after she got backlash. I don't want to make too many excuses for her on that front because there were a million better ways she could've brought that up.

Anti Vaxx is not a right way, regardless of race. There are a lot of them being left behind too, example: Kat Von D. Who was being cancelled herself after coming out as Anti Vaxx. There is no way around it. It is just not right. Especially as parents who makes decisions to their own kids, that will seriously affecting their well being.

Furthermore, both her and her child are vaccinated. If you did some digging, you'd find the following statement she made:

"I'm not against vaccines. I'm against companies who care more for profit then humans. I care for better track record that proves this. I care that African countries are not always the testing ground. I don't want it coming from banks / tech /hedge fund sector and I want a choice." 

I stand by this too. These pharmaceutical companies test the majority of vaccines in Africa and then those same people aren't able to afford them once the said vaccine is patented. She's literally not an antivaxxer

i agree with this and like that you hold gaga to the same regard. im also against anti-vaxxers and people who risk public safety (safety of the greater good), however, I do feel that I do not know enough about the situation to be having a hot take on M.I.A 

a lot of monsters like to write revisionist history but it's a fact that gaga is still "friends" with war criminals such as joe biden and actively supported r kelly (given the statements she made about dwuw in 2013). these stances have had a greater negative effect on the victims of these people than m.i.a making some stupid statement on twitter which half of it was taken out of context as she and her child are both vaccinated.
