Lady Gaga performs "Smile" at the One World Relief Concert

This was amazing.  I'd been watching the stream for about two hours and was not expecting to be blown away all of a sudden.  I just know I'm going to be watching this one many times.

I loved the choice of song, and seemed so ideal for Gaga, it really brightened up my mood.

I don't think she's ever shown this side of herself to the world like this. She's serious but not overly, very relaxed and comfortable, sweet and bubbly and cute. 

It made me think back to the time when she hated walking red carpets, was asked the same silly questions over and over in interviews, and often treated more like a novelty, a thing, rather than the sweet person she is. People almost never looked past her outfits, it was crazy. Everytime I said I was a fan people would comment that she was ugly and weird. I would have to defend her quite often. So happy times have changed. And she's free to be the little weirdo she is and however she wants to be.

So proud of her. This performance was so precious. Tony always makes me cry when he sings this, but Gaga made me smile and I really needed that.

Don't make me cry again tonight   I agree, 100%. Its so AMAZING to witness the journey Gaga has taken, to think back to The Fame/Just Dance days and just over 10 years later we have this incredible woman who is respected as a human and an artist rather than just people calling her "the weird one". 

I'm so happy for her, I'm so proud of her. I'm so happy that Gaga is where she is today. This will be remembered for as long as she lives.

No, she also performed The Prayer with Celine Dion, John Legend, and Andrea Bocelli. It was a glorious performance!
